I can't say they are working. They seem to seep properly at first but then empty out. I'm going to keep using and Weill review agsin if it changes Great concept

I put these into potted plants that tend to dry out due to their exposures, and using used red wine bottles, they work really well. Basically, extended the time I would have to water by 5-7 days. I bought some for my mom, who is in a hotter and drier locale, and she had less success, but only used plastic water bottles. I think that the darker, glass bottles may be a bit better. Overall, it is nice to know that I can forget about watering for a few days to a week. Would buy more.

I got these to hold my large plants over while I travel.All six of the terra cotta holders arrived in great condition.Application was easy. I buried the terra cotta holders deep in the soil, close to the plant roots.Then I filled two empty wine bottles with water and held my thumb over the openings as I placed them into the terra cotta holder.Some water naturally spilled out in the process of placing them into the holders, but not much. Once the bottles are in the terra cotta holder, they will drain based on how dry the soil is. My plants had both been watered recently, so the wine bottles haven’t really drained at all.Looking forward to monitoring how quickly or slowly the water drains over the next few days, to gauge how long these will work for my specific plants while I’m traveling.Overall, it’s great peace of mind knowing my plants will still have an ample water source when I’m away! Very happy with this purchase!

I am so pleased with these devices! I love having plants in my home, but I can't keep them alive. I purchased these because our family was going on vacation and I wanted my plants to survive. I watered my plants before leaving just in case the devices failed to water them. I was surprised and delighted to see that my plants were still alive after leaving them for 8 days. A couple of the bottles were completely empty and a few still had a little water left in them. I have since learned to gauge how many bottles/devices each of my plants need. I'm so happy that my plants are still alive and thriving. Had it been left to my "non-green" thumbs, my plants would have died long ago. Give these devices a try, you will not regret it.

Someone usually is home or a neighbor comes over and water my plants while I’m away. Last trip none of that was possible. I scoured the internet for some thing to do the job while away. No one I knew was pleased with whatever they’d resorted to.I ordered this at the last minute because I could get it in time and if it didn’t work it wasn’t expensive. The reviews weren’t stellar and there were lots of complaints about fragility as well.They arrived in great shape and in time. There was no time to try them out. I followed the directions, locked up the house and left with fingers crossed. I returned 18 days later. All the plants on my hot porch in Florida were thriving. I couldn’t have been more surprised.Since returning I’ve ‘tested’ them. They dispense the water slowly as needed. They lasted on herb garden and various greenery a full 2 weeks in a Florida late July east facing porch. They have also proved quite sturdy. They are terra cotta. Treat them as such. But they are well made show no signs of breaking.I would not be taking the time to write if I wasn’t both surprised and delighted. I also plan to use them any time I’m anticipating a busy week and don’t want to have to remember to water every few days!

Does what it’s supposed to do I guess? My plants/vegetables seemed ok while using them. But, they are a lot more delicate than I thought. Will break if you push too hard so, be careful.
