Great but fragile.
They work great and help cut down on watering. Just be very careful they are fragile and if you do not have a bottle that fits well they will crack. I just multiple of these in my garden and plan on continuing to use them in future growing seasons.

Need careful handling, but do the job
I gave 5 stars because they performed as designed, and even though 3 broke, they are easily recyclable with natural materials. If you get these and are new to terra cotta, you need to follow the directions: soak them, and use a stick or post to make a hole for them instead of just trying to shove them into the dirt. Get them into the dirt up to the neck to reduce shock of putting bottles into them, and GENTLY insert bottles of water, don't just drop them in! Terra cotta is actually fragile, and I think people tend to forget that. These really helped when we discovered a load of compost was actually dead and I had to use bagged dirt and grow bags to get my seedlings to grow, survive and thrive while I repaired the beds.

Happy hour for plants? Yes!
Are you a Gardner who enjoys a glass of wine? Ever wonder what to do with your extra bottles? Well wonder no more! Have a happy hour with your plants! Pros: I live in Arizona and the heat is extreme. It's difficult to know when my soil is suffering at different times of the day and this has been a great addition to make sure my plants aren't parched. Easy to use: push it into the soil, fill your bottle with water and place it right in. Kind of fun to give you plants a happy hour! Great value and design. Cannot beat the functionality for water retention. Fits in grow bags or gardens! Cons: They are sturdy but a bird broke one of mine and it was in pieces pushed into the soil. All in all I do recommend and will purchase again as I expand my garden!

The best slow drip system
I have tried many systems and had some of these before but learned to use them correctly. Soak beforehand and then put a full bottle of water in them neck down. Be very careful placing them. They are very fragile and will break easily. For me worth it.

Be Gentle!
These spikes went into the ground very easily and worked well with the various types of bottles I’ve used them with, however, they are incredibly fragile. I didn’t have an issue with putting the spikes into the dirt around my gardens, but when I went to put in the bottles, I found that instead of just tipping them over quickly and pushing them into the spikes, you basically end up pouring out a good portion of the water to gently tip the bottles and gently insert them into the spikes. If you do not do this slowly and gently, the spikes will crack or crumble upon impact with the bottle. With that being said, I would order these again, knowing how gentle I need to be. I’m not sure that these would stand up to the test of time considering how fragile they are so these might be items you find yourself buying frequently. I haven’t tried it with a full size wine bottle yet I’ve been using highlife bottles and like 1 L smaller wine bottles. I got given as gifts and those seem to work fine I’ll update this review once I’ve used a larger bottle

easy to use and useful over time
These are wonderful products. I did not have any issues with breakage or damage others have indicated. I used clean regular and empty wine bottles and attached a 5" long clear piece of plastic hose to each bottle top to help insert the bottle into the open device. I also built a grid in a 12" deep clear plastic tub to help support the weight of everything as the bottles of water were heavy and the pots, which were 12" tall deep-root thin plastic, were pretty unstable. This also helped insert the bottle into the device and then stand it up directly above each pot. When I came home 2- weeks later, there was still water visible in most of the bottles. They kept my, just starting to send up a seedling shoot, plants well cared for in my absence.

Only way to water your potted plants
The vensovo terracotta spikes are frantic. I just set up a greenhouse for the winter. I was looking for a watering system during the winter months. I discovered the terracotta spikes. I purchased the spikes and a case of wine bottles,. To my surprise I was able to keep my plants watered for almost 2 weeks with this watering system. Make sure you dig a small hole for the terracotta spikes to go into the dirt as you can't push the terracotta spikes into the soil unless the soil is wet. This system worked great and I ordered another full set for all my plants. This system will work great all year long for all your indoor plants and potted outside plants.

Great product that makes watering a breeze.
We have pots on our porch. Refilling a wine bottle is much easier than the daily watering can. Love these and will be ordering more in the spring.

I repotted some plants so the top of the terracotta spike is level with the soil. I used cobalt blue glass longnecks filled with water and inverted them into the spikes. No evaporation occurs and the plants take just the water they need via osmosis. I no longer over water or under water my plants. A perfect solution!

All of the cones came in tact, unbroken, well-packaged. Tested the terra cotta cones out last week when we were away and they work very well. I used a 750 ml Pelligrino glass bottle filled with water and inserted upside down so that the cone would constantly refill with water and "trickle" water my very large potted plants. The plants were thriving and watered when I returned from my trip. I did water the plants quite a bit the night before and the morning I was leaving, I added the bottles filled with water.

Excellent at getting water to the roots of plants. My plants look a lot healthier since I have started using them. They are a little pricey which is why I gave 4 stars and not 4.
