This specially designed tool allows the technician to access most T-60 Torx belt tensioners on BMW N54 and N55 engines found in many models from 2007 to 2013. The tensioner is in a confined area that a standard T60 socket has a hard time accessing. This unique wrench design allows the technician to loosen the spring pressure with minimal force and still maintain access to the lock pin hole. The #12500 wrench is designed to cut labor time by reducing the number of parts needed to be removed in order to gain clearance for the tensioner.. Item Weight - 4 lbs.

Tool works like designed!
So far i have used this tool on an N54 twin turbo bmw engine and it works quite well. Was able to release the tensioner without removing the front charge pipe that covers up the tensioner. Thats the hardest 6 cyl bmw engine to change the belt on and it worked so well. I assume it will work on the rest as well.

Don't waste your money!
ECS Tuning and Turner Motor Sports has this same tool for 32-35 dollars. It worked perfectly and cut my labor time significantly. Took 35 minutes to replace belt on my 535 n54 engine. I have no idea why this seller charges twice as much.
