Good gold color, very good for my intended purpose. Color coordinated with my outfit, I wear a safety pin to signal people around me that "I am safe for you to be with." If you have a disability, you are safe with me. If you are elderly, or a person of color, or LGBTQ, or an immigrant, or atheist, or of any religion whatsoever, you are safe with me. These are large enough that people notice them, and I have gotten smiles from many people when I wear them. Especially at hospital or clinic visits. The pin's pointed shaft is too big to push through my clothes, so I simply fasten the safety pin by putting it through a buttonhole on a blouse or jacket or shirt.

Pretty and many uses -
These are huge and work great for all kinds of things. I use them as jewelry - I use them to keep my way too big pants up that I can not bear to part with. They look great on shawls, sweaters and capes. The container they come in is even cute. They stay locked and I have not yet been impaled. These are great for the gal's that do not sew. (like myself) They hold a ton of material without popping open and with some imagination you can turn these into really nice big jewelry pieces. Glad I bought them.

Great Help with Organizing
This is one of those items you own, where people come up to you and ask "where did you get that "? There are many uses for these over sized safety pins. There great with a backpack or a waist pack, helping to add an item that you can easily remove. Use to keep two gloves together, and many more. I like the black finish because it hides the pin, sorry no flash with this color choice.
