Works for me
Feedback: I have multiple chemical sensitivity, and I have not been able to use *any* dishwasher detergent natural or chemical, have tried for a decade and a half, also homemade has either not cleaned or I'm sensitive. W/ MCS, if I want to balance having a dishwasher and get dishes clean, this is awesome, clean dishes, happy health. We're all different, so *first test it out, see how you do 'near' the product (down at stomach level, it's concentrated, so don't get near eyes), then (I don't remember how I did it, but I know it was a slooow process, use your own discretion, consult a group o/l and see how they would do it, I think my relative had had an idea this last time) wash it in there on it's own, then a few dishes that aren't yours or some forks you don't care about, it wasn't until after using 2 packs, I was using it consistently and found no problems. Initially, I didn't like drying the dishes in there, b/c I was afraid it would 'bake it in', I had to start using the drying selection, and I haven't seen a problem. I found out about this one when googling: 'MCS safe dishwasher detergent', I found a review on the Citrasolv site that this worked. I know I can't go near their citrus cleaning products other than this 'free & clear', however, I 'can' have a family member use them in the house w/ doors open to air, w/o much problem, knowing this, I thought, 'if they were so natural in their general cleaning product, then they'll be the same w/ the free and clear tablets', yes, I have issues w/ the cleaning product, but only b/c of a sensitivity to it being concentrated citrus, you can tell from the smell of it, it's natural. Also, I live in FL, where we have hard water, and there are no spots after using this as my detergent. Another MCSer on the reviews for this product on their site, said a particular 'rinse' they'd do well w/, I haven't been able to afford it, so I've not tried yet, I do believe the dishes would come out 'even' nicer w/ it.

Quality detergent: and safer with less chemicals
I first found a box of this at a local organic supermart, and was super impressed by it. Our dishwasher is not the most amazing, and leaves a soapy taste on mugs and plastic tuperware containers when using regular detergent (or doesn't wash them well if using a smaller amount of detergent). We were concerned the chemicals in regular detergent were probably not good for our health, and would end up hand-rinsing a lot of our dishes after running them through the dishwasher to get any remaining soap film off. This detergent solved the problem.I expected that a more "green" detergent would be less powerful, but it actually cleans the dishes just as good, and I'd say even better than standard cascade (it doesn't leave any spots for our dishes, unlike cascade). We've also never been able to taste any "soapy" residue, and I feel a lot better about washing plastic tuperware with a less chemical-y detergent.Being a powder and able to buy it in bulk also makes it a much more cost-efficient option than a lot of other "green" detergents.I love this detergent, and am never going back!

Eco-nice
Works great in my new Samsung dishwasher. Definitely be sure not to have heavy gunk on dishes, but it does what it needs to do and smells good.

mixed feelings about this detergent
I have used Citrasolve products before and liked them. This liquid dish detergent is okay but I can't consider it to be really great. The stuff initially quickly develops suds which seem to dissipate too rapidly. The cleaning power seems to be very good but I find myself using more detergent than what the job should require. The citrus smell is very pleasing and something that suggests clean and sanitary. Anyway, the gist of all this blather is that I like the detergent but something in the product seems to be lacking.

Been using Homesolv pods for a few months, working fine
8/29/21 - I was using mainstream dishwasher pods, Cascade Platinum, which work great but the scent was always strong. A few months ago I was visiting someone's home and they showed me a Homesolv pod... it had NO ODOR. Fantastic, but would it work as well as the Cascade?? Well, I've been using these pods since then in a small portable washing machine and they work just fine. Occasionally I'll have some food residue but that may be more about my small machine and squishing my dishes together when loading it up. I think these are just fine and work extremely well, so they get a "highly recommended" from me.

So if you like foamy lathering cleaners
I am sensitive to chemicals and fragrances. I can handle this dish cleaner. Only thing I have noticed about the more natural products is the lathering... unlike their chemical counterparts - they do not stay lathery for long. But they do clean and do their job. So if you like foamy lathering cleaners, stay away. If you want to be healthy and not have soapy residue and odors in your dishes and cups, I recommend.

Very happy with this detergent!
After trying the Seventh Generation detergent, I was a bit skeptical that a "natural" detergent would actually work. The Seventh Generation never completely dissolved and left soap all over my dishes. I am sooo glad I tried Citradish. I haven't noticed any difference between using this one versus Cascade, which I've been using my entire life. It does just as good of a job, if not better than the regular brands. Actually, this one is better because of healthier ingredients - I know my kids aren't eating chemical residues from the regular brand. If you are unsure about whether to buy this detergent, my advice would be to find other people that are willing to try it too, and split the 12 boxes up. It has free shipping, so the cost is only $4.75/box - not too bad! Give this one a try!

Simply the best.
Years ago, after trying every brand, I settled on and used only Cascade. About three years ago, I went looking for a more "green" product and discovered this stuff on alice.com. Then alice bit the dust and I was happy to find that I could order this by the case from amazon. Cool. Try it. I think you'll like it. It gets the dishes really clean, but doesn't stain or pit or cause harm like some of the other "green" products. Smells good, too.
