Daily Meditation 1 AMP Audio Bible Player - Amplified Bible Electronic Bible (with Rechargeable Battery, Charger, Ear Buds and Built-in Speaker)

Daily Meditation Bible Players are excellent products that I would recommend to anybody. They are very convenient to use, the size is just right, and they are so spiritually helpful. The Amplified Bible is an in-depth study translation that expands on (or "amplifies") the shades of meaning in the words of the original languages. Its original edition was published from 1954-2015, and then it was revised, removing some of the amplifications for "smoother reading." The version in the player is the Classic Edition (which I myself prefer over the 2015 revision). I don't agree with every interpretation in the Amplified Bible (for example, I don't think the "Behemoth" and the "Leviathan" in Job 40-41 are the hippopotamus and the crocodile, but rather dinosaurs). Nevertheless, the vast majority of the amplifications are very helpful for study. The voice recording was formerly on CDs, but it went out of print in that format, so I was very happy to find the AMP Audio Bible Player. One use I have for this player is that I play it all night while I am sleeping. Even though I might fall asleep in one book and wake up in another, I have found it spiritually refreshing! Then it is very easy to let it charge all day, unless I want to listen to it in the daytime as well. The voice quality on these players is very pleasant and clear, and they provide excellent value for the money I spent. I am thinking about also purchasing the King James Version in the non-dramatized audio Bible version recorded by Christopher Glyn, who is a talented British actor. I can then alternate it with my Amplified player to compare the various translation choices in the two versions. I previously bought the KJV player to give to a fellow co-worker, so I've got to get one for myself now! So yes, these players make excellent gifts, for others, and for yourself! Plus, I have always had very helpful customer service from the company. And of course, the purpose is that we would "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."

I wholeheartedly agree with the 3 reviews I have read about this device now that I have my own experience with it. I cannot express how very excited and happy I am with this little player! It is such a tremendous blessing! I absolutely love it!!! The ability to hear with or without earbuds, (pillow speaker, headphones) is fantastic! I do both! The volume is very good and speaker clear! I just can't say enough good things about it! I, too, intend on purchasing more in different versions and perhaps some as gifts. I did contact the company through email because Amazon was showing that the Amplified version was not available and they didn't know when or if it would become available. I got an answer the very same day! They were already correcting the problem with Amazon! They have corresponded with me more than once and are a real pleasure to do business with. It is truly a wonderful ministry they are providing that blesses my soul richly to be able to feed more consistently on God's Holy Word through the vehicle of hearing! Rom.10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." I am expecting great and wonderful things! UPDATE: As an addendum, I was asked to include part of a recent email communication I had with the man who has made these available here with my review in hopes it might benefit those considering purchasing/using these devices. That paragraph is as follows: "I truly appreciate your burden and work to make God's Word available through the avenue of hearing. I love the way you called what you were striving to achieve in your own life, the Psalm 1 lifestyle! I have loved Ps.1 for years and years and memorized it a long time ago! The way it says it in the Amplified (as I'm sure you are well aware) is: 'But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he HABITUALLY meditates (ponders and studies) BY DAY and BY NIGHT.' Oh, WOW! That just does something for me deep down in my heart and causes a stir and a thrill! I desire that kind of HABITUAL meditation of God's Word or, as you call it, a Psalm 1 Lifestyle! I rejoice with you in the healing that God brought to you in your own life through doing that. God has certainly used all you went through not only for your good, but for the many, like me! I am daily using this bible recorder, and will tell you first off this thing is built like a tank, yet is lightweight, incredibly easy to use and has the best sound quality I have seen in similar types of products. One year old as of December 2016. The godly vessel had hit the floor many times, one time the left switch went flying upon hitting the floor and couldn't find it. I came in the house from outside and the button was sitting in the middle of the floor right where I could clearly find it. Thank you Holy Spirit. He knows how much I love this device, downloading the word with such excellence. And the button snapped back on no problem. What I really appreciate is the range of volume and it's clarity. I can listen easily while driving with it in my lap. I mow the lawn and rack leaves with the earphone buds. I am waiting for my second version which I am told will be available in January, and I'll buy 2. One for a friend for Christmas and one for myself. Just love it !!! thanks so very much.

I love this bible. It's convenient. I like not having to use headphones. I wish the narrator would talk slower though.

I like to listen to the bible in addition to reading it. Certain phrases jump out at me when I listen and I might have completely missed them while reading. The audio bible is easy to use, small and lightweight, the sound is excellent and it’s inexpensive. Great for anyone and everyone but especially good for senior citizens like me. I’m grateful for this product.

We plugged this in to charge, worked great while plugged in. When we unplugged the charger to move it, the unit fell apart. Port for charger plug came out completely. No way to charge it now. Not worth the money.
