California Bloodless Castration Stainless Steel Bander & Bands (25 pk)

I waited a little longer (13 weeks) before banding my newest buckling because it is supposed to be healthier for the animal. The problem with doing that is my expanding ring binder wasn’t close to being big enough for this big boy.This one works! It will work on any size buck. I did struggle a little bit despite watching the how-to videos. It takes some strength to stretch the band enough for a tight fit. Once done though it is trouble free and effective. I will use this over the expanding type in the future.

When your bander XL won't fit, this will definitely do the trick. Great for older bulls. Takes a little coordination but easy to get the hang of. I've had 100% success with this so far.

Two of our 7 month old Billy goats were much too large for the little donut ring bander sold at the farm supply. I watched a few "how to" videos on YouTube and practiced on a plush dog toy to get comfortable with the operation. My husband held the goats heads between his legs, while my 6 year old held a feed bucket for them and I was able to band them in less than a minute each. I would highly recommend this for anyone needing to castrate more mature bucks.

If this works, I'm sold. The installation of the band was super easy. I did 3 goats in 15 minutes. 2 of the goats were a year old and one of then was 2. Attaching this band made the process quick and painless. Within 4 hours I was already seeing the signs of the band working as was said on the video I watched to attach it. Hoping for good end result. I saved almost $500 doing it this way.

I like this way of casturating calves alot, it is very simple and efficiant. The hand tool fits my hand very well. Im 6'1, 185 lbs and my wife is 5'5, 130 lbs and the tool fits both of our hands equaly well. Just the way it is designed, I believe it is able to be worn and used by nearly anybody, within reason. The bands are of excellent quality and rigidity. I've used them on multuple 400 lb bulls and the results were a field full of steers. After about 36 - 48 hrs, we no longer see the calves stomping the ground and we have yet to observe any indication of over stress such as lathargy or loss of appetite! Put them into your cart and enjoy the ease.

I have used this for several years now. It works great on bulls that have gotten too big for my smaller bander. Just takes a little practice to put it on without it slipping out of the slot in the handle
