Top quality-
I'm replacing all my older 14/3 cords with these 12/3 gauge cords, I can actually tell the difference in the performance of my power tools, they do not get as warm and run smoothly when I am using them constantly on a project. Plus - Made in America. Tough cable sheathing. Powered light plug to tell you if it is plugged in the other end. On par with other top brands such as Iron Forge Cable, US Wire and Cable, Yellow Jacket and with a very competitive price point. Limited lifetime warranty. Most importantly, the design of this cable is unique and no one will be able to claim that they thought it was theirs because it looks like every other extension cord. You need the right gauge cord to match with the tool's amperage requirements/output, e.g. this is a heavy duty cord which means you can run circular says, miter saws, table saws, heavy power drills and most other power tools and appliances that draw up to 15 and 16 amps. In fact, running a 15 amp power tool with a cord not rated for that power draw will eventually damage your tool because the motor has to overwork to draw enough electrical power to run properly. You will also notice that the wire will get warm/hot when the cord is under gauged to the tool.

Heavy duty!
This is a handy length for projects inside the house. Between this and my 100-footer, I'm covered. Heavy duty and made in the USA.

GREAT HD EXTENSION CORD FOR THE MONEY
Bought this cord to use on space heater, as the extension cord I was using kept getting hot. I've been using this cord for several months now & it never "gets hot", even when using it 24/7. The other "Heavy duty" 12/3 extension cords I priced at Walmart were @ $70.00. The HD at Home Depot & Lowe's were @ $100.00. I got this on a "Black Friday" deal for $26.00!! So I decided to give it a shot after researching it online & checking out the reviews on multiple sites. Love the "Light Up" plug. :-) Very happy with purchase & am definitely buying more.

Best Bang for your buck
I love southwire and have several of these. this one spent all of last year buried running to a swimming pool. i just pulled it out and wiped it down. still using it weekly and haven't had a problem yet. i own the 100, 50,25 lengths.

This extension cord is a great idea to have.
Had Hurricane Beryl come through. And with a Generator, I still needed to run a extra line. I'm glad that I bought this extension cord.
