Lumanux Seed Propagating Heat mat for Seedling, Cloning, & Germination - Heating Mat - 10"x20.75"

I really like these mats. I have been using them for a little over a week now and they are working exactly as expected. The mats are made of sturdy materials and appear to be made to last. I have found that they heat my seed trays evenly keeping them at 71 degrees f , 4 days ago I planted a 72 cell tray with several varieties of tomatoes and I awoke this morning to find that the Black Krim were poking through the soil. It's still too cool at night for me to plant outside but with these mats I will be in great shape at the end of the month when it comes time to transplant. This is the first year that I have attempted growing out from seeds and I am very glad I have these heat to help out. If you are thinking about growing from seed these are awesome mats at a awesome price. I am getting 2 more for my pepper seed trays.

After extensive research, I decided to get the Lumanux heat mat. It arrived early, which is always a good thing. As others have said, it was rolled up in a box. I unrolled it, put my seed tray on top and it flatten itself out in mere seconds.I touched the mat and it was warm to the touch, but not hot at all. This was great because I was able to move my germination station to the basement where it was usually cool. Put a few melon seeds, lemon seeds, and grape seeds to test out. My seeds started to sprout in mere days.I love this mat and plan to get another one or two.

Prompt service and good quality makes this pretty good buy, especially for it's price range!For best results using a heat mat, make sure that you place it on something that doesn't get cold easily, such as a cardboard box, a wooden table, certain plastic tables, a towel covering a cold table, etc., because heat mats without a thermometer can only heat a certain amount above ambient temperature. I'm using a cardboard box for my set up, and it warms up really good! Not uncomfortably so, actually pretty cozy temperature, very warm!I got what I ordered in great condition, and I'm currently using the product to germinate my pepper seeds since they need to be warm in order to sprout. I've left the heating mat plugged in for multiple days at a time, and so far it seems pretty good even with the treatment. I will keep on testing this product, for so far, the delivery on the service was excellent, and I'm satisfied with the quality of my purchase.

The heating mats were delivered in two days. I was germinating the seed trays on top of my refrigerator, so I was anxious to receive them (I ordered two). They were rolled to fit inside a small box, but uncurled just fine with a little smoothing. I moved the trays to a large window and placed them on the heating mats. Perfect fit. In a couple days the seeds popped up.I'm so glad I bought the Lumanux heat mats. I highly recommend them.

Have had this for a year and it works like a charm. Heats to about 80 degrees. In the past year I've successfully grown literally hundred of vegetable plants that require warm germination temperatures just using the one mat that I have. Can't speak to differences between this brand and others but this one rolls up easily for storage, has had no issues with the wiring, and heats evenly and consistently. Highly recommend, a good product for a low price.

The Lumanux Seed Starter Heat Mat was just what I was looking for. I put it on top of a safe surface, plugged it in, sat the a seed germination kit filled with planted seeds and water (germination kit and seeds not included with the mat) on top of the mat and checked it daily. I had sprouts in just a few days of the faster germinating seeds and one to two weeks with slower germinating ones. With the Lumanux Seed Starter Heat Mat I had a high germination rate.

Mine is way too hot. I know others have said theirs are ok but having a seedling tray with dome on top it brings the temp up to 100 F (room temp is 72)...I didn't really monitor it at first thinking that it would just be about 10-20 warmer and it caused root rot in first my clones and killed them. If I suspend the tray about an inch above the mat it holds at 10-15 above room temp. I had to but a temp controler so I dock stars.

I did not buy a thermostat for this mat, simply plugged it into the wall. I'm using it to sprout sweet potato slips. It was necessary to add a cardboard box around the ball jars to get the water up to the right temperature due to the large surface area of the jars. This is working perfectly for me right now and will be great for seed starting. Now I just have to be patient and wait for spring....
