I have always loved Angelina Jolie and was happy to see her in anything fairly new. Never even saw advertisements for these movies, but after watching the first one and loving it for various reasons. When I saw there was another one, I just had to watch it. I love the way these were put together as a whole. There are so many lessons you can take away from these films & I just felt it was done brilliantly. Not just for kids but adults as well. For me? It is just like real life. Man kind has always wanted to rule everything and renowned for taking things that do not belong to them in the first place. Life is the hardest thing any of us will ever do. And I'm sorry, I don't think humans or any life force has to be Ruled by anyone or anything. We all have to live though and why we cannot do so without wars, fighting, stealing. I will never understand. Greed has ruled far too long and seriously needs to stop. But Angelina, you go girl, you were as beautiful as ever and the real mother in you showed very well in these movies. I hope you make another one. Lol You have been missed on the silver screen. Thanks for making two beautiful stories that took me away from the real world which is not a good place for me right now in more ways than I can say. Coming from someone who is about your age? And a saying from another movie, it felt like it brought me peace in a time of war too. Thank you.

Okay. I had seen the first movie and liked it. I kept seeing shorts on youtube, so decided to watch this one too. I cried! I'm 63 years old and Disney made me cry again! It is really good. Angelina kills it!

The plot to this film is pretty straight forward and it was all the better for it. The movie is a great visual spectacle and a wonderfully action oriented experience. Maleficent is unhappy that her daughter is marrying the son of her rival, but tries to be a good sport. But ultimately she loses her temper and things go from fine to catastrophic in an instant. That's kind of the theme going forward, where big developments come fast but not totally unexpectedly. The big battle sequence of the film is chaotic, but it's surprisingly easy to follow. That makes the film fun instead of a headache inducing experience. And in the end, the films effects, while obviously effects, are great to look at. I appreciated a fly through a large cave network where a race is hiding out. And if I'm being a tad cryptic, it's to avoid spoilers. This is actually a film with a few mysteries up it's sleeve. Some may be cliche, others may be in the trailer. But in the end, the film does include discovery and that was a true delight.

Pros: Stunning mixed graphics, with such beauty of flying--you gotta see this! Story line is complex, including emotions of love, war, and loyalty.Cons: Anger managment issues (Jolie) were initially exaggerated, akin to the movie BRAVE. The final battle is like watching a Harry Potter quibbage game. Yeah, the seige of the kingdom-- and the war resolution both seemed a bit haphazard.Conclusion: Will totally watch it again. Kudos to the vendor for a perfect delivery of an absolutely georgous tri-fold case covered with artwork that brought tears to my eyes (protected by a slipcover too!). ☆☆☆☆☆

I’m a very big fan of this movie although I felt the first one was better. When I did not like, and I want to put this out there for parents, is the actual used of antichrist symbolism such as Angelina Jolie horns in the film. Those are actually, exactly what The devil wants you to see. It’s no coincidence that she is a fairy who lives on earth. It’s almost like a fallen angel not to give her name to being male left maleficent which is actually the opposite of beneficent. I just wanna make sure children know what they are watching as people fall in love with these type of things and end up buying these demonic horns without even knowing. I think it’s funny that Disney promotes the antichrist while they try to claim they love everybody what a shame, you don’t have to like my review. At the end of the day, I will love the movie, but I am aware make sure you’re prepared too.
