This works as it should
This device works great. It has a good puff of suction right when you need it and right where you want it. I did not even need to use any wick to clean up any leftovers. The price is great and you can use it for a long time because it is built good and sturdy. When you buy this, buy an extra tip so you have it when the old one needs to be replaced. Good buy at the right price.

It's a solder sucker, alright
You can tell the plastic parts are pretty cheap and I have no idea where to get a replacement tip. On the other hand the body and spring mechanism are mostly metal and the tip should last for quite a while unless you're using it daily in an electronics shop. Worked fine and I had no trouble loading or operating it one-handed.

Totally Sucks!!!
Yes. ...and that is what it's designed to do. Item seems well made but I found that solder wick is easier to use. ...but this tool works well and seems like it's going to last. Not sure why they call it a Desoldering Pump Solder Sucker Iron Remover Tool I don't know how well it would work with molten iron. Prolly put Iron in the name because they want it coming up in searches for a soldering iron. Yep.

Okay for the price.
It does suck solder and work as advertised, but it's got somewhat cheap construction, and I don't think it'll hold up to many times of unscrewing and screwing it shut when you clean it out. The threads are too fine for the plastic parts and it seems like it will cross-thread or strip easily when you remove the tip to clean it out or unjam it. The solder it sucks up can jam it, and the little flakes of solder on the inside when it doesn't make one big lump are a mess.I'd say that you should get proficient with copper de-soldering braid instead, but sometimes you just want to quickly suck up a blob and get it over with. And for the inexpensive price, this unit is okay, just don't expect it to last a lifetime, or withstand being disassembled for cleaning multiple times.

Great tool.
I didn't think I needed to waste my money on this. I rarely make mistakes that I can't fix. Sometimes I do though, so I figured this would make those easier. Now that it's here, this works so great that fixing them the other ways is too time consuming. This is amazing for too much solder, etc.

Good for cheap
This works about as well as a similar product my dad has. I'd say this works better than using copper braid, but I'm not very good at using the copper. However, this thing is pretty shoddily made. The edge around the open part at the top of the pump is very badly molded, and I cut my thumb kinda badly from sliding it down the edge when depressing the plunger.I haven't used it that much so I don't know how lasting it is, but it's pretty sturdy. Good for a cheap product that you'll use a few times. If you plan on using this a lot though, get a better one.

Works well
Use it on PCB boards to clean up after my "mistakes", and it is as good of a desoldering pump tool I've used so far. The only negative is that priming the pump is slightly more inconvenient than on other pumps, since you have to use your finger instead of just pushing it down on a table.

Useless
On arrival, I tested the pump out. It functioned as far as creating suction, but once I unscrewed the tip to see how well it could be cleaned out, the tip could not be screwed back in properly. I put it back in, and the spring pressure just made it pop off. The plastic threads obviously could not hold the pressure. So either it was cross-threaded on assembly so that the threads were wrecked or it's just very poorly made. Don't bother with this one, including all the other identical pumps sold under various names.
