Easy to use - make sure you melt chocolate first and add more oil than suggested in instructions.
Big hit at the party! We used this chocolate fountain for a birthday party and was a huge success! Followed other reviewers' tips and added additional oil to the chocolate which was melted in the microwave first and then poured into the fountain. It ran perfectly for over five hours straight without any issues. Everyone loved it and was the highlight of the dessert table. For the price it is great and it is on the smaller size, but worth it. Easy to set up, easy to clean, and worked way better than expected.

Waste of money Extremely Cheap!!
Very very small!!!! It's made from very cheap flimsy plastic, mine was cracked this might make a fun kids toy but not for any engagement parties I bought in May but not needing it until end of June I didn't open it until the other day now they wont retun it because I waited to long. I didn't want it out so I kept it in the package it came in. I didn't want anything to get lost. Now they wont refund me my money Build quality: Thin cheap plastic size of a small woman's hand. It would be good for 1 person not a group. I do not recommend anyone to buy this. I've never gave a recommendation like this before. Total waste of money. Leakage: It is cracked so it will leak Fun to use: Looks like a fun toy for a Barbie doll toy

Little Work Horse
This is a SMALL chocolate fountain. Keep that in mind when ordering. I don't think it's even as big as a football. However, despite it's small size, it did a great job for my party of nine people. I set up an appetizer/desert bar for before and after dinner. It ran continuously for five hour with no problems. I did have to add another batch of chocolate as the night went on. Some reviews said it was noisy, but I did not find that to be the case once the chocolate was added. Without the chocolate it made a bit of a racket but when the chocolate got pulled up through the fountain the sound was dampened considerably. Clean up is a bit of a challenge because chocolate gets everywhere. I did not clean mine until the next day and the chocolate had set up. The removeable tier and auger are plastic so I warmed them in the microwave and used paper towels to wipe off as much chocolate as possible, then washed in hot, soapy water. The unit has a heat only mode (separate from the fountain mode) so I heated the chocolate, wiped with paper towels, then cleaned with a soapy damp sponge. Paper towels and Q-tips are your friends when cleaning. The instructions said 2Tbs of oil to 6 oz of chocolate. It may have been the brand of chocolate melts I used, but I found 3Tbs of oil to 1 Cup of melts had a better consistency to get the chocolate up the auger and running over the tiers.

Good machine until it works
This is a great little machine, and the kids were thrilled to have it for holiday parties. Unfortunately, it stopped working after the first use. We carefully followed the instructions for adding and cleaning the chocolate, but when we tried to turn it on a second time, the machine wouldn't start. While the heating function still works, the motor for the chocolate flow isn't functioning. It's such a disappointment!

A big hit! Yummy fun!
I brought this for my niece as a birthday present. She just turned 6. You might think this is an odd present for a small child, but she actually LOVED it. She originally wanted a "chocolate-covered-everything" birthday theme but later changed her mind to a unicorn theme. This is one lucky kid who has so many toys and clothes and life experiences that it's hard to buy gifts for her sometimes. So I was doing some outside-the-box thinking and decided to give her a literal taste of the chocolate-covered-everything theme. I gifted this machine along with the chocolate chips to use in it and the pretzel sticks, marshmallows, biscoff biscuits, strawberries, etc. to dip in the chocolate. After she opened it, we decided to use it right away. All the cousins loved it: kids aged 2,6,7,9,and 19. And the adults enjoyed it too. Yummy fun. It's smaller than I expected, even after I did research-but that's not necessarily bad. The bigger the unit, the more chocolate you have to use to keep it flowing nicely. This ended up being a prefect amount of chocolate for the family. You have to follow instructions to melt the chocolate and thin it out. If it isn't thin enough, it's won't flow nicely. It's a little loud while being used but you can still talk over it. It's a perfect size for small gatherings. We had 4-5 kids around it at one time and it was good. More than that and it would've been too many. Clean up was not exactly easy, since you can't put the whole thing in the sink, but It wasn't horrible either. Get as much of the melted chocolate out before wiping the rest up with paper towels- then wash with dishcloth and suds.

Really fantastic chocolate fountain!
My little boy has asked for a chocolate fountain for the longest time so what better time to get him one than his birthday? He loved it! I read so many reviews on this product and other products. I decided to get this one because we have a small family and if it doesn't work, no big loss on investment. It wasn't as noisy as other reviewers stated, there's a motor and you can hear it running but certainly not so loud that you can't carry on a conversation. The chocolate we used were Ghirardelli chocolate chips, which I melted in a saucepan prior to putting on the fountain. I added 1/8 of cup of olive oil just to thin out the chocolate. The fountain direction say 8 oz of chocolate. The key is to let the main heat up and spin for at least 30 minutes before the event. We wanted to maintain Ghirardelli's flavor so we didn't add too much oil but to make the fountain flow even more, simply add more oil. My little boy loved his chocolate fountain surprise! We had a tray of strawberries, pitted cherries, raspberries, and sliced bananas. In another tray, we had pretzel sticks, large marshmallows, Nilla wafers, coconut rolls, and animal crackers. He loved it all!
