Very strong - but there is a “trick” to secure it!
We use this for a dog zip line from a 20 foot pole to hook at the edge of our house, and it works great, especially with a ratcheting real like you used to pull a boat back up onto your boat ramp (about $23 from Amazon) but there is a trick to getting it to work securely with the line in the little compression connectors that come with it. I stared at the goat for about three hours trying to get a cut piece of wire through the tiny hole in the compression connector which after you put on the little metal loop that comes with it you have to feedback through the other side of the compression connector so you can crimp it with a vice grip pliers and it’ll stay in place forever. The trick is this: You have to cut the wire with a hand grinder and a metal cutting wheel at a 45° angle so that the ends don’t splay out, and you’ll never get it through the hole. If you cut it in a 45° angle and let the grinder eat up the splayed wire you’ll have a knife sharp 45° angle Which will fit right through the hole. Cut the wire with vice grip pliers, needle nose pliers, wire cutters, or anything else the braided wire ends splay out and you’ll never get it through the little hole.Another thing which I consider applause is that the wire is reflective, being shiny stainless steel, and when it’s above my head it reflects the trees and such around it and is almost completely invisible. The braided wire is only one 16th of an inch in diameter, but the test strength as advertised touts that you can lift six bags of 60 pound concrete with it before it will break. I believe this.

Perfect for hanging string lights.
This product was easy and inexpensive to work with compared to buying it by the foot at lowes or home depot. Made the job of hanging string lights easy and very sturdy.

ADDITIONAL CABLE USE
This cable is just the right size. I have climbing roses against a concrete block fence. What to climb on? use small stainless steel angles attached to the concrete block then thread this small aircraft cable through the holes, about 1 inch away from the block, neat job for the rose to climb on. Thanks for your product and value.

MUCH THICKER THAN EXPECTED
This hanging wire is very good strength...and there is A LOT of it. You'll need the appropriate crimpers for the end caps provided and a good cutting tool....this is not the dainty picture wire that comes with other frame hanging kits...this is the stuff that can hold a 100lb mirror without flinching.More than what we needed for our lightweight jobs and so much of it we will have it around for a very long time! I'm sure it will come in handy at some point...we will need to buy the appropriate tool for crimping the clamps as a regular plier crushes the shape but does not lock the wire in place.

Fit for Purpose; Value for the Money
I bought this to replace a lead line for…no laughing….my cat. The previous one I had made was destroyed by a hungry lawn mower. That one cost me as much as all of the purchase items in this kit, plus it was only 25 ft long. Excellent value for the money.

Great for string lights
What a fantastic kit. I used it to hang string lights in my backyard, fix my old garage door, and I have more plans in the works. Worth every penny.
