WomenSense EstroSense by Natural Factors, Natural Supplement to Support Estrogen and Hormone Balance During PMS or Menopause, Vegan, Non-GMO, 60 Capsules

This product was recommended to me a few years ago by a health consultant at a health food store, and I was taking it successfully. I stopped, but now that I am in perimenopause, I have gone back to it as I'm not ready to jump into the expensive HRT yet. And it has really helped me. I'm 41, and this has helped with hot flashes, heart palpitations, and regular cycles, no more cramping (which I never got prior to my 40s). I highly recommend this product as a way to keep your estrogen levels in check and your cycles regular.

I have been taking this for about two years now and my only complaint is that I didn't discover it sooner. I spent most of my life on birth control pills due to horrifically heavy periods, extremely irregular periods, endometriosis and severe cramping. Long before I was sexually active and even those times when I wasn't sexually active, I was still taking birth control pills to help these problems. Discovering EstroSense has been wonderful for me. I only take one capsule a day but I now have a regular period, a lighter period, few if any PMS symptoms and no spotting between periods - AND I have been able to do this without using birth control pills for the first time in my life. It should be noted, ESTROSENSE IS ONLY FOR WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE. It is not designed to help with menopausal or peri-menopausal symptoms. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN ESTROGEN. Women experiencing symptoms of menopause should look into taking MenoSense, also sold here on Amazon. This is because EstroSense actually lowers Estrogen levels - and thereby also lowers the risk for many estrogen-related cancers, tumors, fibroids and cysts. In a nutshell, most Western women (and many men) get far too much estrogen due to environmental factors and diets. Women who are overweight will also generally have higher estrogen levels, as estrogen can be converted from fat. When our estrogen levels are too high, it suppresses and imbalances other hormones. EstroSense not only helps lower estrogen levels, it also contains compounds which may be naturally anti-carcinogenic, anti-atherogenic (prevents the hardening of artery walls)and protects against liver damage. By balancing estrogen levels, other hormonal levels will often become more balanced as well. If you are able, please see a doctor and discuss ALL supplements you take as well as what supplements you would like to take, specifically giving the reasons for wanting to do so. While many doctors will give a "try it and see" approach, they can also test for things which supplements will not fix. Some women have irregular periods their entire lives, while others may develop this condition due to some other, more recent problem. You don't want to be the person who is experimenting with supplements while something more serious is developing.

Use these after hormone pellet, works every time

I’ve been taking estrosense for 11 years now. I started taking it when I was 26 for severe cystic acne and it cleared it up in under two months. I also cut out dairy and ate a 75% raw whole food diet to cleanse my body. I took it throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding for four years. And I still take it 8 years postpartum. I can’t say enough about this product. It’s a life changer. No more painful periods, no more inflammation causing cystic acne, no more painful pooping when ovulating, no more mood swings, no more fatigue, anti aging effect and the list goes on and on. I eat clean, exercise, and religiously take 4 estrosense capsules a day, alongside source of life soy free prenatal vitamins. My gyno recommended I continue the prenatal vitamins even though I don’t plan to become pregnant. The extra boost is well worth it. I’ve recommended estrosense to all of my female friends over the years, and have seen some who struggle with infertility get pregnant soon after starting estrosense. I highly recommend this product to anyone with hormone imbalance. Lorna vanderhaeghe designed this supplement years ago, and now has her own line called estrosmart. But I stuck with estrosense because it’s much more affordable. I believe the only difference is estrosense has the milk thistle. It does not have a negative effect on me after all these years of taking it, so I don’t read too much into the new studies on it claiming it could potentially be harmful. I don’t think the dosage is high enough, and my blood work has always came back excellent, even at 38 years old. This product means a lot to me and my health, mentally and physically. I highly recommend it! Give it a few months and you’ll see results! But stick to it, you’ll know if you’ve missed a couple of days. You’ll start to feel like crap again or break out. It’s powerful stuff.

I have been taking two a day since I got them about a month and a half ago to help with estrogen dominance and semi-irregular periods. Well, I haven’t had a period yet and I am almost a month late. So it seems like they are doing the opposite of what I got them for. I’ll finish the bottle but I’m kinda disappointed that I didn’t see any positive effects. I’ll update if anything changes. UPDATE My cycle started about 9 days after I initially posted this review, so over a month into the bottle. This cycle seems more manageable than most that I have had, with far less clotting and easier cramps - although they are still there. I did have a TERRIBLE headache on the day of heaviest flow, which perhaps means that the supplements (I am taking several) are working to regulate my hormones. I also increased my intake of berberine around this same time, so it could have been that as well... updated to 3 stars

Got many compliments about losing weight. I am a bit overweight, not obese. Also helps keep my hormones balanced.

I’ve been using this for over a month now but am still experiencing hot flashes and night sweats. I’m up numerous times at night because I can feel myself cook.

I like the product, it’s the same price or less than health stores. I wish it came more appropriately packaged- like other supplements it’s still coming in a bottle that’s 1/2 full, meaning it’s using double the needed plastic.

Bought this product specifically for the DIM as shown on product label pictures. No actual DIM in product when received. Too bad as it has good reviews for the product WITH DIM.
