I bought this kit for my 8-year old niece who is dying to learn to sew. The kit seems nice-there is lots of thread, some needle threaders and several other tools needed for sewing. The little scissors is sharp. She worked with some embroidery thread on a little project, and threading the needles was difficult. She used the threaders but the tips broke off so they are no good any more. But all things considered it is a great kit for child just learning to sew or for use as an emergency sewing kit to take along on a trip.

I love amazon products but this one went into the trash. The needle container was hard to open and then I damaged the container to find needles spilled all over the floor. Only two needles came close to being large enough to use. I tried repeatedly to open the thread rolls only to find that it couldn't get the thread started and then determined that the thread quality was too low for me to even try to untangle it and use it. All thread went to the trash. This product should be removed from Amazon published items. I cannot recommend it to anyone. I do realize that this is a bad statement but only for the product. I do not wish to find any other fault with Amazon. I am a senior citizen living alone (yes! a man.) but all I wanted was a needle and thread to sew buttons back onto my clothes. The only two good items in the product were the needle threaders but that's only worth about 5 cents.Ron

I like everything about this kit -- the selection of thread colors, the wealth of practical utilities (scissors, thimble, ripper, needle threader, tape measure, etc.), and especially the case. I had a kit with a hard plastic case, and even though it lasted several years and many trips, the case finally took one too many hits from who knows what and broke. I don't expect this sturdy, well made case to be as vulnerable to damage.

This is an amazing sewing kit! Very compact, and contains everything you could need -- even a seam ripper, which I've never seen in a kit this side. Also, the scissors are of quite good quality, another very pleasant surprise for a little sewing kit. I'll end up ordering several of these for friends and family members, I'm sure -- very high quality, very thoughtfully designed. Thanks!

I bought this for a Cristmas gift for my granddaughter check back after Christmas and I will let you know how it went over with her.

This kit has everything for daily sewing emergencies.Besides sewing needles.Seriously I looked everywhere and there are no sewing needles to be found anywhere. I hope I just received a defective product and this isn't a cruel joke because now I now have no way to sew my bootleg Cam'ron and Wu-Tang patches on my jacket. I want a new kit or my money back.
