Great fitting workout socks, even in the cold and wet!
Got these socks the day before a 2.5 hour the 2017 F3 Polar Bear. The event is 2.5 hours of running, obstacles, and boot camp style workout with team running to locations to do exercises for points. And it was 25F outside, and we jumped in a lake and did squats at the end for extra points.Warmth: even at 25F-30F, feet never felt cold at all. Until the 55F lake of course.Fit: Good fit, size Large for my size 10 was perfect. Good snug fit, no sliding, no chaffing, no blisters. Will be my "go to" sock for workouts.I like that they are Made in the USA!I put the "Ankle Compression" to the test. I think the ankle band is plenty tight by design to keep debris out of your sock and keep it from sliding down. It was no match for the gritty lake bottom as I did end up with some sand/grit in both socks after the Polar Plunge. I don't blame the socks, as the ankle compression seems very ample, but if you're looking to keep the debris out when in water, may need a taller sock. Thicker mud may be no problem.Overall, very satisfied. Best workout sock I currently own, and I've tried lots of UA and Thorlo. Good comms with Malko, owner of Mudgear, to ensure I was satisfied with my new awesome socks.

Not just for mudding!
I originally bought these socks for trail running but a foot injury sidelined me so I can't really speak for how they hold up on dirty, muddy trails (yet). However, since cycling is part of my rehab I decided to try them with my Northwave cycling shoes. I am VERY picky about socks so it means something when I say WOW. I live in south Texas and it's blazing hot and humid here, even in the early morning when I do my rides. Until I tried theses socks, I was coming home with soaked and sore feet just from sweating and chafing. I'm not going to say these socks kept my feet from sweating, but they DID wick the moisture away so my feet weren't being rubbed raw by the moisture buildup. I can also feel the breeze circulating through the mesh in my shoes, which feels great on these hot days. I only have 2 pairs just now but I'm about to order 2 more so I can rotate them more efficiently. These socks are also very comfy with my everyday sneakers and my hiking boots as well. I can't wait until my foot heals enough for me to zip around on the trails and really get these babies dirty. As far as washing - no special treatment needed. I toss them in with my cycling clothes or whatever else needs washing. I have worn them about a dozen times each and have not noticed any difference in the fit. I'll update my review once I've had the chance to use them on the trails. Highly recommended!

The ankle cuff is snug yet comfortable, keeping out debris during trail runs and OCR's.
I thought these socks seemed a little pricey at first but after some consideration, made the purchase for the Warrior Dash coming up next week. These socks are everything they claim in the description. The ankle cuff is snug yet comfortable, keeping out debris during my trail runs. These do not hold water like a normal athletic socks and there are no noticeable seams. (Will mud/water performance update after the race). The owner promptly answered a few of my questions via email. As a small business owner myself, I love their passion and dedication to their product and customer satisfaction. This experience convinced me to go ahead and order 3 MudGear race jerseys that my boys and I had been looking at.UPDATE: Just finished running the Warrior Dash with these socks. They were great in the mud and water. The ankle cuff kept mud and debris out, the material did not hold much water, and most of all they were comfortable enough to keep all the mud and small rocks that got into my shoes from irritating my feet. The Jersey's are pretty great too!

Two Thumbs Up!
I'm happy with this purchase! The fit is comfortable. I wasn't sure what size sock to order due to the size chart, previous reviews and where my shoes size falls! I typically were a size 7.5 in running shoes. I have one pair of Asics that are size 8 as I was told I should order a 1/2 size bigger in that particular version and should have some extra space when running --- so I did. I feel like a 7 3/4 would have been perfect, lol not quite an 8. My other pair is a 7.5 and seems more my fit. Anyway, normally a 7.5 and I ordered the small socks. They fit very well. Side note: if we're talking a high heel shoe or boot from Express, I'm a perfect size 7.If I wore a full size 8 shoe normally, I would still recommend the size small sock. I don't like socks to bunch in the toes or heels. If your a 8.5 shoe and like snug socks, you could still rock the small as long as your foot isn't "wide". Some might consider my foot narrow but I've never wore a "narrow" shoe size, always regular and fit comfortably. Bought these for the Tough Mudder race in KY in June and I think they will work out great! I did 80 minutes of straight cardio in them yesterday and today to test them out - they were comfortable and zero slippage. Whoop!

Nice socks
I have never bought socks this expensive but wow are they nice on the feet and keep the pebbles out. The socks do hug your feet tight. I wear a size 10 shoe and bought mediums since I wasn't sure if it was going to be like the big box store sock size. You know, where you buy a pair of socks that fit an 8 thru 12 and when you put them on the heel is outside the shoe. Anyhow, I like these socks so much I bought 10 more and use them for just about everything. My wife wears an 8 shoe and likes the small size in these socks. One other thing to avoid confusion in the washer/dryer - order different colors. Wife is green and I got grey.

Can You Keep a Secret?
I like these socks a lot - hence the five star review. However, I'm happily wearing them for everyday use with a lot of dog walking on pavement. The socks hug my feet and breathe nicely. No problem wearing them for hours. Thus far the weather in my area has been mostly cool with the occasional very warm day and these socks have been comfortable. Hopefully, I will be equally pleased when it turns hot and later in the cold weather. Also, hoping that they will be as durable as claimed.Somewhat surprised I have not been contacted by anyone from MudGear. Other reviewers mention the customer service they have received. At any rate - SHHH! Don't tell anyone how I am using these socks!

Good socks
Very Impressed with these socks even if a bit pricey, they stayed in place, no blisters after getting very wet after going through waterlogged trails and seemed to dry quickly

Fantastic Socks but...
I have and love the full length compression socks, these are of the same fantastic quality, but for me, just a little (maybe half an inch to an inch?) too short.

I have these socks and I love them. They are well made
I have these socks and I love them. They are well made, fit well and the compression is just the right amount. I had sprained my ankle bad and wore my mud gear socks as part of my active recovery plan - I feel they made a huge impact in my recovery times, as I was back at it (working out) within two weeks of injury. I wear these while running and have zero foot pain. I also like to wear them just around the house and they are super comfortable as every day socks.
