Awesome tugs! Hold up to crazy, strong tugging!!
I love these tugs. They unlike many others when they are new...do not make my dogs gums bleed. They are narrow enough to stick in a pocket. But a great length to not get bitten when tugging. So far they are holding up well and have become my go to tug! I bought two french linen tugs and I like these better. Mostly because they are not as fat.

absolutely the BEST thing for my rotties
I cannot even add high enough to calculate the amount of money I have spent on "indestructible" or cute, or active or interactive etc etc toys for my two rotties. One of my girls, Tabu, found the very first one of these that I ordered for my first rottie over 12 years ago.....well, all the other toys (except balls haha) were ignored and both Tabu and Zuka spent all day and all night "arguing" over the remnants of the first tug. I ordered two and before I could completely open the package, they each grabbed one and were off. I will have to admit that these are not quite as long-lasting as that first one, but they certainly last a long, long time. I have ordered two more just to keep "in case." As of today, a couple weeks into the hard play all is still great - they are holding up and the dogs just LOVE them. Two quick anecdotes. All of this is happening as I am suffering from tearing a disc on New Year's Eve. I'm still basically non-moving due to the pain etc. So needless to say, anthing that gives them something to do, occupies their time, and gives th em even a little play/exercise is a godsend! Tabu has taken to sleeping in bed with me - sort of protecting me from any outside invaders (haha) and she curls up right into my back - her warmth and the pressure point is perfect. My bed is quite high and she exerts a lot of effort to get on it. Getting down isiproblematic also, so once she is in place, that's it for the night. Well, just the other night, she just wouldn't settle. It was a particularlt difficult night for me as well. She kept wanting to get off the bed, then would get back on the bed. Over and over again. Finally, I'd had enogh and struggled out of bed to put her in her crate. Guess what?! Her tug was on the floor and she just couldn't leave it so was getting up and down trying to bring it to bed with her. Yes, these are a HUGE success....in every way. I only gave 4 stars due to the fact that this newer version is not going to last the 10-12 years like the first ones, but that said, these are still better and more durable than anything else on the market today. It's almost like giving a toddler a cardboard box instead of expensive toys......the box is more fun, lasts longer, and is lots less expensive.

The favorite tug in our house
My dogs love this tug. It has just enough softness and give that they like the way it moves and the way it feels in their mouths. Since it is soft it isn't as durable as some times but it holds up well to a lot of abuse. This one is versatile and fits the needs of my softie spaniel as well as the tough wear and tear that my 65 bully mix can put it through. Just don't give them much time to chew on it, by bully's back molars can scissor through this leather pretty quick if given the chance.

Not for the strong chewer
Oh, my. I thought this toy would be great for my two active hard chewers - a 1 year old 34 pound Husky mix and a 9 year old 84 pound Australian Shepard - big dog mix. While they started tugging with it initially, within 5 minutes they chewed through one of the handles and then the other. At first I thought they could still play tug with as the handles were still attached but were just straps - that was until the older dog started chewing off pieces from the soft leather roll. WIthin 15 minutes of active play, this toy had to be thrown away. Now it might be my dogs are a little cra-cra when they play, but we were sorely disappointed with the durability of this toy. I do want to add that the product appeared well made and I was pleased with it upon taking it from the packaging; but it is not a toy for active chewers.

Too flat and narrow
Bought this for our german shepherd. She does not care a whole lot for it. It is flat so tends to be hard for her to get a good grip on it. She prefers to play tug with either a round lead rope or rolled up towel.

Been Through 2 Dogs and This Tug Toy is Still Not Dead!!!!
This is by far one of my favorite tug toys. And both my dogs love it too. It's the tug toy I started teaching them how to play tug with. One of my dogs started on this toy and has now graduated to a larger tug toy since he's developed his grip and control. Now my other dog is learning to tug with this toy. It's been in use since Sept 2016 - 9 months - and it's still not destroyed. It is a little dirty though but my dogs still adore it. I'm shocked at other customers leaving ridiculous reviews about how poor this toy is because their dog ate it or because it was given to their dog as a chew toy. This is not a chew toy!! This is an interactive toy to which your dog should only have access when you're involved. If you're after a tug toy you won't go wrong this this one from Redline.

The good news is he loves it
EDIT: I modified this review to 5 stars. The seller professionally and promptly contacted me about the defective toy and immediately sent a new one. It looks great and the stitching looks very solid all around. I am excited to use it with my dogs! Thank you so much, Redline K9, for your outstanding service and communication. --------------------- I have only used this a handful of times with my dog at the time of this review. The good news is he loves it. The bad news is it is already falling apart. I am a professional trainer who utilizes play in training. I never leave dogs unattended with tugs so this toy was used exactly as intended.

Well made but too tough for my dog
When I received this I was impressed with how well made it seemed. But I could also tell immediately it was a little too tough/hard for my dog and she would not be able to get a good grip on it during tugging. So I returned it.
