California Sunbounce Pro (4 x 6 Feet) Kit-Reflector Panel Kit with Frame and Carry Bag (Silver/White)

I have the 2x3 and absolutely love it and use it on every shoot outdoors, so I figured the 4x6 would be even better -- bounce more light, function as a wall to bounce a strobe/flash into, etc... and yes, it does all of those things but it is really too big. It was difficult to assemble the long poles that thread through the black sleeves, so I don't take it apart, I just take out the three rods that stretch across the back of the reflector. And that isn't that easy either, I need to stand on the bottom pole and really push up on the top pole to get the rods back in/out. So, I still bring this on shoots because it is easier for my assistants/clients to handle than the oval popup reflectors, but it isn't as easy, portable, and carefree as the 2x3. I know Sunbounce makes another size, maybe 3x4 or something, and that probably would have been a better size for me.I still gave it 5 stars though because it is a fantastic reflector (soooo easy for people to find the light and bounce it, compared to the popup ones) and easy to handle. It's just not quite as portable as I had hoped.

I've wanted one of these for as long as I can remember for mid to large size shoots, for both photography and film making, but obviously you need a crew to handle this thing, one person can, but that's all they're doing, this thing is huge, a beast, and it throws off tons of light, the materials are way better than the cheaper reflectors you can buy, but it comes at a hefty price tag. Would I say it's worth $400, sure, if this is your business and you know you can use it and use it right, worth every penny.

Reflects light like mirror! Doesn't flex or bend in a breeze. Light enough for me to hold with one hand (i am a big guy though, my wife can't hold it with one hand). It takes a little time to set up but it's worth it.

The California Sunbounce Pro is my favorite and most used product from the California Sunbounce line--I've used mine now for over ten years with great success. It's portable, durable, reliable and helps me work efficiently, accurately and effectively, even in windy conditions. When it comes to lighting a photographer should never skimp. The old adage applies, you get what you pay for and God forbid, but if your doctor told you that you needed a blood transfusion, would you ask for grade "C" blood instead of grade "A?"When it comes to lighting in photography, light is the lifeblood of the image and the most important element in creating masterpiece photographs, not mediocre pictures. This professional quality reflector allows you to "control and direct" the light with great ease, I expect nothing less. Sure, great lighting gear in general is not inexpensive, but great photographs last over time and thus your return on investment is easy to recapture with a great product like this and others by the California Sunbounce company. Remember, in photography, especially with lighting, it's about working accurately, effectively and efficiently plus with a reliable product and this product meets all those standards. I highly recommend and look forward in using mine another 10 years more.
