Great quality at an affordable price
A solid scratch post at a great price. Easy to assemble and my cats love it.

Durable and Tall
This is a replacement for one exactly like it that took about 2.5 years to wear out and fray. My cat uses it daily so they are durable and nice and tall. This is really the height needed for a cat to fully stretch out and exercise their shoulders when scratching. It’s a nice color that blends with most decors. Highly recommend!

Cats use them, so it is a win!
So I have purchased two of these and one fell apart a lot quicker than the other. One was glued more and that helped. I like the look of these and it helps save my furniture a bit.

Purr-fect! Cat LOVES it!
My cat loves this! He likes to stretch and scratch and is a decent sized male cat (not the biggest I have seen, mine is around 14 lbs) so getting a tall standing scratching post was a MUST. He absolutely loves it. My one complaint is that not both of the sections are reversible. The bottom one can be switched/flipped, so if your cat tends to scratch in one area you can swap it out after it gets too frayed. But the top one has the cap on top and it is not screwed on. It is attached. So you are not able to flip that one. Other than that, though, for a low price cat scratcher, I couldn't ask for more. 5/5 from my cat. It is pretty durable. At the end of the day, it is a cat scratching post so it is meant to be used and worn down. Mine uses it a ton, and it pretty rough on it. I got about 8 months out of it before I had to replace it. And considering he uses it for all four feet, I'd say not bad. Plus the price isn't too expensive, so I don't mine replacing it. It is super easy to assemble. Mine does like to lay down, grab it and kick it really hard so after a few months the screw did start to come loose. But a quick tighten and it was good to go. I will say, it is not very sturdy. I do have the corner of it shoved under a bookshelf. It does fall over easily. I would make sure and secure it before letting your cats have at it. So it doesn't really work free standing on it's own, but that isn't a big deal for me. If it is, I would try a different one. This is very light weight, but also my cat is very rough with it, so I have to make sure it is extra secure.

Does the job
Tall enough for my big cats, it works great to keep my cats from scratching one side of my furniture, I probably need couple more of these to totally keep them away from scratching

Sturdy Cat Tree. Reeks of Chemicals
Recently purchased 3 different kinds of cat trees all at once (as inspired by Animal Planet cat behaviorist and YouTuber Jackson Galaxy to build "catification" into my home), so I was able to compare and contrast all three together. This Dimaka cat tree would be one of the lower rated ones. PROS: This Dimaka cat tree earns high marks on being surprisingly tall. Pleasantly surprised at the height, which is almost the height of a normal dining room chair - excellent for cats that like a full body stretch to scratch. The construction was also fairly simple: one screw at the bottom, and one screw in the middle to connect the two halves. The sisal seems to be tightly woven around the trunk, so hoping this is decent quality. CONS: As soon as I opened the box, a strong whiff of what I affectionately call the "Amazon odor" hit the senses: a uniquely distinct blend of cheap American consumerism, even cheaper Chinese labor, industrial chemicals, and stale musk shipping containers. Because the cat tree contains faux fur, it retains the odor much more strongly than my other cat scratchers that were cardboard-based or had removable covers. The other con is that while the construction is simple, the base is not a solid piece. It's two halves, folded like a book, which makes the initial screw from the bottom slightly challenging and can potentially mean the two halves aren't aligned. I would have preferred a single piece of the base for stability. TIPS: Unless your cats have burned their noses off and completely lost their sense of smell, this cat tree is likely to be highly unpalatable out of the box. You will need to gently scrub all of the fur pieces with warm water and blue Dawn. The base is cheap particle board, so be prepared to pat dry very quickly. Then liberally douse the entire cat tree in Febreze.

Nice, tall post at a good price, but a bit too thin and wobbly
Taller posts seem to be pretty expensive, so I was happy to find one that was actually tall (some say they are in the description, but when you check the measurements, they really aren't) and was being sold at a good price. The 34 inches includes the base, so if your cats stand on the base to scratch like mine do, you'll lose an inch or so of height. I have two cats, a 5yo female and an almost-2yo male, and the height has been decent for both. If you have really big cats, this post might be too short, and if you have very heavy cats, this post won't work because of its biggest downside: it's too thin. The post itself isn't very wide, about as thick as a can of tennis balls, and when my cats really go to town on it, it wobbles a lot. It isn't unsafe, but I think cats prefer something a bit more sturdy that they can really sink their claws into, and since it's so thin, they have to curl their paws around it to scratch, which also makes it unattractive for them. I won't be returning this post, though since I do like the height and price, and my cats do use it, though I think they'd use it more if it was thicker and sturdier. If you're buying this because your cats are scratching your beloved couch or computer chair, I would consider buying something else. I don't think it's satisfying for them in the same way as a heavy couch or thick chair.

Cat absolutely loves this to bits

The base broke the first time the cat scratched it. The base is made of chipboard and folded in half to fir the package. There is a weak point in the base where there is a recess in the chipboard to make space for the bolt and washer that holds the pole upright. A very badly designed product.
