Reduce the number of cables.
Love the reduction in the amount of cables. Only need 4 instead of 8.

Great KVM cables (see details). Recommended
I've spent so many years with flaky DVI, HDMI, and DP KVMs, that I am overjoyed that we're now in the age of inexpensive, reliable KVMs. My best examples of this are my TESmart 4x1 and 8x1 units - and they ARE great, but part of the reason for their low price is the fact that they are not fully outfitted with cables. That's where the Monoprice - 136645 HDMI USB Combo Cable - 10 Feet comes in.While there are other HDMI/USB cable sets out there, it's not entirely clear with some of them what you're getting in terms of the HDMI spec. I also elected to get 10 foot cables, since some of them have to reach farther on my wire rack. The Monoprice cables work well, and I've not had any issues with the two sets that I've gotten so far. While most of my machines are running 4k/60 @4:4:4/10bpp, I do have one that's at 4k/90, and it's working fine over the cable. Recommended

Junk, pi USB connection drops off after a day on KVM
Its crap. The thin USB cable failed after a day on my KVM. It took me a while to nail the problem down. I thought it was my ethernet because I kept getting connection errors and hangs, but it was the USB that kept reconnecting, causing havok on Linux. Cant return, waste of money.

The distance between HDMI and USB too short at PC Side
Although the cables function properly I had originally purchased for one of my tower units that is just too far away from my KVM switch to use the standard cables. The standard cables work fine as the USB portion of the cable is separate from the HDMI portion therefore allowing one to pull them apart a little more due to distance. These 10 foot cables the USB portion is part of the inside of the main cable and therefore are not able to reach between my HDMI video card and the USB connections on the back of the machine. Will have to find a USB adapter or add about 4-5" of wiring to allow the USB to plug into my system properly.

Problems with USB side
I bought 3 of these for use with a KVM all 3 had intermittent USB dropouts. I ran separate USB cables and the problems went away, The USB part of these cables is freakishly thin and not reliable. I wish I has kept the packaging for return.
