Product arrived before estimated delivery, very surprising. A thumbs up! This starter fit perfectly on my 73 evinrude 65 hp. Easy 5 minute job. Installed the three bolts, power cable, turned the key and she fired right up! No complaints.

I own a 70 hp Evinrude. I purchased this starter because my old one stopped working and figured it will save me time from fixing up the old one. The item arrived in the mail and I hooked it up. I turned the key twice to start my motor and the drive end on the starter failed. I contacted the seller and they were nice to send me a replacement. I even gave them my engine model. The second starter finally arrived after two weeks and I hooked it up. This time, the starter could not hold enough voltage to turn the flywheel. After hooking up two starter, I started to think that there was something wrong with my motor. I checked everything including battery, solenoid, lower unit, pistons, and everything else that could influence the motor turning. EVERYTHING on my motor was fine so I concluded that it HAS to be the starter. Instead of wasting more money on another starter, I decided to fix up the original starter that I had (should have done that sooner). After fixing my old one, I hooked it up, turned the key and the flywheel turned like nothing. My motor started right up. This seller claims to not sell any used or rebuilt starter so if that is true, then from my experience, this starter is made very cheaply.

I had to use the friction bendix off of my old starter on this one. The new one wouldn’t engage the flywheel. Other than that it seems well built.

Did not fit my motor. but the customer service was great. They were able to cross reference my old part number and give me the new number to search for the correct starter.

I purchased this product for my son's boat-worked great. Was delivered in a very timely matter and in excellent condition. Soon he will be enjoying it at the lake.
