Fun for variety of ages!
I heard about this game from a friend, and our family has really had fun with it -- and I like knowing that it keeps our minds sharp, as well! My children are 13, 11, and 7, and this is one of those rare games that is appealing to each of them. You have to be able to quickly recognize pairs of numbers that add to 100 (e.g., 75 and 25, 85 and 15, 70 and 30, and so on). This was a little tricky for my youngest at first, but after a couple of rounds he mastered the math facts (yea!) and could appreciate the other level of the game -- quick moves and strategic thinking. These features are what challenged and entertained my older children and myself from the beginning. The game keeps you very engaged, with sneakiness and laughs. My youngest has taught his friends how to play the game on playdates and even brought it into his classroom, where his teacher is happy to use it to teach kids math facts. I think the game makes a great birthday or holiday gift, especially with school vacations and family togetherness fast approaching!! Enjoy!

Great game - that kids don't realize helps them with math.
Play this game with a 5 and 7 year old and they love it. I love they are learning to add to 100 with 10's without really trying very hard. I have taken out the numbers that end in 5 to start with (25, 45, etc.) and will add them back in when the time is right. It is a little pricey for a deck of cards though.

Love this game!
Pulled this out last night to play with my 12 year old and my husband. My daughter is a reluctant game player- as is my husband. But I remembered thinking this game was fun and silly when we played last Christmas so I forced the issue. We were all laughing and having a great time with this game. Easy to learn. Silly enough and great for math skills without it feeling like a math game. We have a cabinet full of games but there aren’t all that many that are truly keepers...after last night I’d bet this one is!

AWESOME
Hands-down the best classroom, small group math game available. The students LOVE it! I bought this in 2017. I buy several games for the classroom every single year, but this is still the class favorite. Even the teachers love to play it with the kids. It gets very competitive and is great at teaching quick facts to 100. Students having difficulty counting paper money, will have no difficulty after learning this game. Plus, everyone has fun playing, and it is an excellent social skills builder.

FIRST GRADERS CAN'T GET ENOUGH!
I purchased Clumsy Thief after meeting the creator at a math conference and learning about her game. I teach first grade and my students can't get enough of it! They BEG me to play this game after math and they get to school early so they can get a "spot" in the game first. Some of them have even talked their parents into buying it for them. It was a little advanced for some of my students at first so we created an anchor chart together of all the ways to make 100 that hangs in the classroom for them to reference during the game. Most of my students have already learned all the ways to make 100 and they don't refer to it anymore. The creator is designing a new game coming out this summer and I am already planning on purchasing it.PROS:-Challenges my students to use mental math. They have to be quick, so they've already learned that it's faster to do the math in their heads instead of looking at the anchor chart and searching out the pair.-Everyone is playing (and therefore THINKING) the entire time. In other words, players do not have to wait for their turn. They can steal cards at any time so they're always watching, always thinking, always MATHing.-This is a great QUICK activity for my students to play at the end of a math lesson because it's comprised of a simple deck of cards - no pieces to pass out, no board to set up. Fast, easy set up, fast, easy clean up!CONS:-I only have one and I need MORE!
