I bought two of these pillowcases in 2012. Granted, I owned and used others as well, but I used these two frequently. The red one finally fell apart last year, sooner than my other satin pillowcases, but it had a good life. The aqua one (which looks like it's no longer offered, which is a shame because it is a gorgeous color) is still going strong despite being used even more than the red was. The aqua is my favorite pillowcase of all because it's the softest of all my satin and even silk pillowcases. (Granted, I only buy cheap silk pillowcases, but I do know the difference between Mulberry silk and poly satin.) It's held up well and is more breathable than some satin, although not as cool to sleep on as silk (obviously). Anyway, I do recommend this brand for the softness of their satib6, assuming it's the same quality today. The price appears to be the same as when I got mine.

I purchased a number of satin pillowcases and headcoverings because my fine hair started turning into balls of knots at night. And I started doing vintage hairstyles which require a lot of work and sometimes I like to preserve them, or wet settings overnight. Anyway, I digress, the 100% satin or 100% silk are obviously the best and will leave you snag and tangle free.These are polyester, like satin. They will do a decent job at a fraction of the cost. However, if you have dry skin they will snag and catch at dry skin. If you just want to protect your hair cheaply, I would suggest a satin sleep cap - they are about $1.98 at discount stores. Unless you sleep next to someone then pop for the case and moisturize.

This brand, Royal Opulance is definately thinner than the  Luxury White Satin Pillow Case w/Hidden Zipper, Queen ... I bought both in red. Other than that they are identicle. I'm not sure about other colors, but this red is a smidge darker (closer blood color) than the luxury brand which is red like a stoplight red. I bought this satin pillow case back in 2011 and still use it today. It's a bit worn from use obviously. My daughter uses it now who is a wild sleeper whose head wrap never stays on during the night. So this pillow was perfect for her. It keeps her hair from rubbing against the cotton sheets and cause breakage. Will be purchasing a new one from my self

It is a nice pillowcase. Standard size 20x26. It is made of 100% Polyester. I also purchased the "Luxury" Satin Pillowcase which says it is from the Sweet Dream Home Collection, and I like it better than the Royal Opulence because the fabric is heavier.

I read somewhere that sleeping on satin pillow cases reduces the likelihood that you will get wrinkles around your eyes. I don't know whether it's true but I can tell you that sleeping on these feels simply fantastic. Plus, the color of this case (Aqua) is just beautiful - sort of like a Tiffany-box blue and looks gorgeous with white, off-white, yellow, gray, or black sheets. I've had mine for a couple of months now and it has held up excellently in the wash (even on the "Heavy Duty" wash cycle which I've sometimes accidentally put it through). The zipper on this product is very sturdy as well. Would definitely recommend this product.

Pillowcase is great. I bought I because for years I have heard that a satin pillowcase or satin scarf is good to prevent breakage of your hair.The pillowcase is great so far. My hubby wants on his pillow too! I only gave four stars because I haven't washed it yet so I don't know how it will fair after being washed. Otherwise it is just what I wanted. The zipper is hidden which protects your hair from getting snagged and prevents the pillow from sliding out the case.

There is only one pillowcase in the package! I am not sure if I am alone in this but I was genuinely shocked that this did not come in a pair.I have bought countless other microfiber pillow cases on Amazon and thought of trying a satin one thinking that it was not much more expensive. I was certainly mistaken there.Quality of the product is fine and the hidden zipper shows that some effort has been put to differentiate this from other pillowcases. However, I really wished I knew about the quantity. Makes a huge difference to what I perceive to be excessive spending.
