Great Read!
As a Halo fan, I always enjoy hearing the back stories of the characters. Sarah Palmer is the commander of a lot of Spartans, and hence, she is definitely an important character in the halo universe. This story follows her as she is drafted into the Spartan program. This book has a lot of great art, and a great story. No master chief unfortunately, but the story is here nonetheless. This is guaranteed too be a good read, and will satisfy the thirst of any Halo fan. I enjoyed it thoroughly and will most likely read it again a few times.

Great with two thumbs up
This has got to be one of the best comic books that I have read in a while. Especially since I hardly read comics now, I give them a 5 stars cuz of how this comic tied up with the games and movies. if there are any more comics like this I will most likely read them and the people I would recommend are people in the halo industry it would be a good way to get kids to read as well and I would say ages 9-16.

it's a comic book, not a Tom Clancy novel.
I love Halo and enjoyed reading it but......it's a comic book. I really wasn't expecting deeply developed characters but these were a bit shallow with lacking development. I still have little idea why the antagonist did what he/she did.In either case, it's a comic book and was enjoyable as such.

A new generation of Spartans
I've really enjoyed the Halo series - games, books, films, etc. - since it first came out over 10 years ago so I realize I might be a bit biased. I enjoyed this graphic novel but I thought it was a little short. It's obviously a prequel to the Halo 4 game & a teaser (&/or test) for an ongoing comic book series.

Short But Sweet
This graphic novel, if it could qualify as one, gives the very beginnings of Spartan Sarah Palmer. From her beginnings as an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (ODST) to the Spartan IV program, Palmer was always more action than talk. This book also answers what happened to one of the Spartan III's from Halo: Reach the game. Though it was a short book I enjoyed everything it had to offer, and it would make a great gift to any Halo fan.

Halo book
I have read all the Halo books and this one is ok. Not as good as Erik Nylunds Halo books, but fun to read as part of the Halo Universe.

Gotta love these collected editions
I absolutely LOVE Sarah Palmer, and she is just an amazing spartan. This hardcover copy of all three Halo "Initiation" issues covers the story of how this amazing and hot spartan came to be. The cover is solid and the art is just.... exhilarating. I am very contented with this purchase and I can't wait for "Escalation" to be published!
