Very Comfortable Boot
VERY comfortable walking boot. I wear a men's 8.5 and it fits perfectly. The cam of the sole is at a great angle for walking without putting any strain or pressure on my shin or calf and thereby my ankle. It did require some adjustment of the inner liner so that when the liner was wrapped around my leg the splints lined up with my leg straight, but once done I haven't had to mess with it since. The inflatable bladder around the ankle is in a good spot to stabilize my ankle without putting too much pressure anywhere. I'm able to inflate it just right where it kind of puffs up in front of each ankle bone making my ankle feel snug without irritating my pulled tendons. So far, once i have the air pressure set, it stays put without leaking. I was going to order the other boot that looks almost identical, but with the blue air pump button, because it had slightly higher ratings. But this one had 1 day prime shipping so I rolled the dice on it, and I am very glad I did. I would buy this boot again in a heartbeat.I had bought this other boot, ( Ossur Rebound Air Tall Walking Boot Medium) here on Amazon 1st because I like the outer plastic shell protection and enclosed toe for work. I work in a shop where there's always equipment laying around and alot of hazards to my injured ankle, and also do all my own home, yard and auto maintenance, which there is never any shortage of. After a day or two I realized all the dirt, oil, grime, grinding dust and other mung that must be on that boot, and I didn't want to come home and prop it up on my couch, my bed, or a clean pillow. So I ordered this 2nd boot just for around the house. Let me tell you, at half the price and looking nowhere near as fancy as the other one the comfort is like night and day. I can't wait to get home and put this one on. And I'm planning on making some kind of over-boot-dirt cover for this one so I can wear it exclusively. The other boot seems to put alot of pressure on your shin as soon as you step down, and alot more effort to roll it forward. Kind of like you are always walking up hill. I have to consciously keep my knee slightly bent to accommodate for that, and while tolerable, long hours in that boot are nowhere near as comfortable, I have more of an ache in my ankle, and I cant wait to get out of it. I have been dealing with it for any type of work situations due to the added protection and fear of banging my leg or God forbid, the front or back of my ankle with only the thin foam as protection. So if you are staying at home or work in a place where there is not a million things to bang your foot on I would wear this one exclusively. Its super comfortable.

I broke my foot (metatarsal fracture), and after having gone to the emergency room and having a "soft cast" put on, I realized having a hard cast on my foot just wasn't going to be realistic for me, because not only did it make it impossible to drive, but also shower as well. I had a few days before I needed to see the orthopedic specialist for another x-ray, so I needed to get something quickly before I ended up in a hard cast. I ordered this, and it arrived in just a couple days.I brought this boot with me to my appointment, and after having my new x-rays taken, I was cleared by the doctor to be able to use this boot instead of a hard cast. At first it seemed a little difficult to get it to fit properly, as the instructions provided weren't exactly helpful, but after a few tries I was able to get it dialed in. There are 2 pads that are Velcro fitted, one over the top of your foot to provide padding over where one of the straps goes, and the other is in the heel. Overall the boot is pretty adjustable (I found it a little large for my size 12 foot, but I was kind of on the border, and better too large than too small), the Velcro holds well, and the pump works well, and doesn't leak. I wore this boot for about a month, and was able to get around in it just fine. I found it quite comfortable, and it offered good protection. I was even able to drive in it.I found that while it wasn't "5 star" as far comfort was concerned initially, I was able to "modify" the boot by using a couple pieces of Velcro, and one of my Superfeet insoles. This provided a little more volume, and made it much more comfortable and supportive.

Great fit, comfort and the seam is higher
I've had problems breaking my walking cast. Because I am duck footed, the seam where the outside brace meets the shoe ( usually at the ankle) snaps. These are made really well! Great fit, comfort and the seam is higher, there is no pressure and they are holding up very well.UPDATE.. It's been three months since my purchase and two surgeries later I still like the walking cast for comfort and sturdiness. That said I am taking one star away because the latch at the ankle and on the foot are a pain in the....back to get the strap threaded through them because they are not permanent, meaning they swivel and move around so it is a time consuming battle every morning to get the strap threaded through it's holder. All of the other walking casts I've had have these two pieces as part of the boot and not on a swivel hinge. For the sake of my family's ears and my reputation that I really don't swear like a sailor...until I have to put on my walking cast...please make it so these don't move around!!!!

This Boot is a Heel!
After about 10 days of wearing the fracture boot, the bottom heel came off. I didn't notice this at first, and the glue on the bottom of the boot collected lots of debris. In addition, the air compression device did not seem to provide a snugger fit (I couldn't even tell if it was working). My damaged toe was held very well, but the boot is so heavy (I suspect most boots of this type weight a lot), that my heel wouldn't stay flush with the bottom of the boot, no matter how tight I tried to attach the multiple velcro straps. It also became very difficult to take off. This may have been due to some misalignment after the bottom heel fell off. Obviously, I'm not at al satisfied with the boot performance. I wasn't expecting a perfect-fit, just something that would last.FYI: I wear a size 10 shoe, and the length of the medium was just right. I just wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Wish it worked better
The first problem was that the air pump is located directly where my ankle bone is - so couldn't use it....in fact had to make a donut type pad to keep it from rubbing on my injured ankle....next problem (current) is that the main strap across the ankle section (middle strap) broke - has a plastic "mount" that snapped....trying to fix it with a small bolt.....
