Useful but extensive
This is a great book especially if you’re planning on multiple trips to the Caribbean as its coverage is Extensive - which leads to a thick book which you will spend time Searching for Your ports of call! Having made those minor complaints I recognise that I chose this book as being, I perceived, the best of the available bunch without having to wait until December for the updated version of what might have been my first choice. The descriptions of the various ports, both of embarkation and those your ship will be visiting, their accessibility and other information (eg shopping, beaches and restaurants) is all very clearly given, informative and helpful, as is advice regarding shipboard life, packing and what to expect - and not!As a person of limited mobility who will probably only experience a Caribbean cruise once in her life, I shall probably remove and staple those pages relevant to my cruise so that I’m not carrying the weight or bulk of this solid little tome but that doesn’t reduce its value or its usefulness to me and I would recommend it whichever quadrant of the Caribbean you’re planning on visiting.

Useful for the US - not so much so for the UK
Useful for US cruisers - not so much so for the UK. Whole sections on ports of departure in the US and their cruise lines. No mention some smaller islands that smaller UK ships visit or their ships. But OK for those destinations which are relevant.

Useful support for cruising the Carribean
While the proof of the pudding/book will be after the cruise itself this book is reassuring and informative as we plan for our first big cruise. It's weakness lies in trying to cover all bases- understandable but resulting in reading through information that is irrelevant and meaning that the relevant parts are shortened. This also applies to covering so many islands. However as you would expect from Fordors this is a well written guide that prepares and supports cruising in the Carribean - recommended
