I previously bought a different brand of rawhides chips (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0753ZGF4B/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that were more expensive. Each piece was similar in size, about 7mm thick, 7inches long, and 3 inches wide. So I decided to give these a try.Decent rawhides for the price ~$6.5 per pound. My lab and husky dogs like them. The only issue I have with this product is that the sizes of the raw hides vary too much. Some are pieces are great, long (~5 inches) and thick (~8mm). Unfortunately, about 1/4 of the box contains pieces that are less than 3 inches long, a choking hazard to my dogs. And about 1/2 of the box contains very thin (~2mm) pieces, which allows my dogs to eat through these pieces within few minutes. I even found one that was less than 1.5 inches wide. I just wish the sizes were more consistent and thicker. I am unhappy with this purchase.

🎁🐕👍🏽😍We have bought all sorts of rawhides over the years and these are hands-down our dogs favorite‼️ They will no longer eat the other brands of rawhides from our local big box stores. 🧐🤔Maybe it’s because these hides are not as laden with chemicals but either way we are happy because they are totally happy dogs❣️❣️🗓Update 2/23/19 STILL LOVING THESE‼️ Were on our 3rd or fourth 📦 bc these totally resolve the puppy teething and chewing issues as well as assist our older dogs gum issues. We litter these raw hides along with bully sticks, 🦴uncured bones, 🥓 jerky strips, along with other boredom toys around the house and property. These raw hides are my favorite because they are essentially orderless chew toys that add fiber to their diets, and keep our furry friends happy. Plus they don’t wreak like bully sticks do. The musty urine smell from bully sticks is SO AWFUL.

(Sep 2016, 6 lb-White)Update :I purchased 2nd box (Feb 2017, same 6 lb-White) but product quality control .. is questionable. 1st box rawhide chips were very thick (left on picture), my dogs loved a lot and I ended up to buy 2nd box soon. But this time, chips are very thin (paper like, right in pic) and it looks like breached ? too white and may be no flavor since my dogs don't care much. You want to see your dogs happy face every time you give them a treat, right ? But this one, they look at me like " this one again ?!?" kind of face.. Good side of this is they don't overeat !! and at least they have something to chew. star decreased from 5 to 4

This is a LOT of rawhide chews and the price is great. They tend to be uneven in size, thick, thing, big, little, REALLY big....Be careful because one of my dogs tried to swallow the whole thing and ended up gagging. (She was OK)I tried to cut them to make them last longer (they last a long time anyway) and they are most of them pretty darn impossible to cut. My husband got out the skill saw...for real!

I'd give 1-3 stars, based on individual chips. If I am looking for an honest review of a product, I go to the 3 star reviews for explanations. The packaging was fine, the delivery was prompt, etc.The product is not good. Definitely not worth the price. I calculate the value based on how long they keep my dog occupied. These failed.I have a three year old, 70 lb. Labrador Retriever. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate his 'rip-it-up' to be about 7 on average, when he is leisurely chompin' on a chewie chip. Most chewies last between 10 and 20 minutes.These were so thin that he was done and asking for more in less than 5 minutes.Most of the chips were like the one in the picture in overall size. You can see light through them - easily. The chip is propped up by a smartphone, so the chip is about 7" x 2.5", which is the average size of most in the package. The thickness - average - is approximately 1/64".Maybe 10% were thicker, about 1/8" thick, but only on the edges, the rest of the chip was 1/32" to 1/64". About 5% were paper thin...thinner than the one in the picture.This order of Six pounds of chips lasted about 9 days.My usual order is: Premium Thick Cut Chips, Wholegrain Rawhide (5 POUNDS) by Brazilian Pet. They cost about $34 and last about a month and a half. (Daily cost of occupying my dog = 85 cents.)They cost $41 for 6 pounds (Daily cost of occupying my dog = over $4.50.) and I cannot imagine ordering them again at any price.

Love this box of rawhides. We keep the box in reach of our dog (2 year old Catahoula) and she knows how to grab one when she can't find one she's already gotten out. . . We've had it for a couple of months and doesn't even look like she's put a dent in them despite the fact that she's always chewing on one.Our dog has no issues with rawhides though and we had gotten a smaller pack of them to make sure she didn't have any negative effects from them. So, as long as you know your dog does well with these, it's a great buy.Other reviews mentioned the sizes and getting small pieces. We received normal sized rawhides. All about 6 inches long and about 3 inches wide with only slight variants. Some thicker, some thinner but no complaints at all.

I've been through at least 4 different suppliers and with 4 large dogs - 3 pit bulls and a Rottweiler - you don't want to offer them slivers of rawhide that they chew up in seconds. These are thick, and large enough to entertain them and satisfy their urge to chew. I will absolutely be using this company for my regular supply.

Seller did a great job. However, the chips are very narrow and unsuitable for medium or larger dogs. I have sharpei and the males consistently get these stuck in their mouths and throats. The chips are about two inches at their narrowest dimension. This encourages some dogs to try and swallow at a certain size. These of course don't soften or dissolve quickly and can create a choking hazard. We've opted to not feed these to our four dogs and seek a rawhide chip that has larger dimensions. Otherwise it is a quality product and may be excellent for other owners.
