They are too small to accept the grommets on a 4' x 6' flags...no matter what angle you use to try and pry the grommets into these hooks, they simply won't go in there. You would think a reasonably intelligent manufacturer would know you need to upsize the hooks if you are going to encase them in thick rubber to maintain the hook space available to accomodate normal brass flag grommets.

This thing is too tiny to by used with any flag. The rope will not fit the loop and the clip will not fit the flag grommet. It may have been close to fitting, before they rubber coated it. It certainly would only fit a tiny toy flag - ! Don't waste your fund here. Get something bigger.

My bad for not reading carefully. I made the assumption that it would come with 2, like all the other similar products. Who would buy only 1? I would not have spent 7-8 dollars for 1, so I’m a little annoyed at myself

The lanyard end of this clip is too small to accommodate a 5/8” lanyard. It is well made and seems like it would hold up to the weather, but I could not get the rope through it. If you have a small rope for a lanyard (1/4” or so) it is a good choice. I have a larger rope because I got tired of replacing it every spring.

Grips the flag cord wonderfully and holds position very well with a simple loop through ‘knot’. The rubber coating reduces the infamous clanging associated with flag poles, and they pretty much look like they’ll be left with the cockroaches after the bomb drops!Highly recommended.

The vinyl coating was cut all over the place 1 was cut so bad it was pealing off at the pivot. Bought 4 of these for flags so the vinyl at the clip end isn't too important as the vinyl at the rope end they will work for me so I'll keep them as u don't have time to reorder them.

Hmm, flags have 2 loops. I never even contemplated this would come as a single not a pair.The clip itself is perfect good, and would’ve represented reasonable value for 2. I never would’ve paid this much for one.Given what turns out to be something that has caught others out the sellers should update the description to indicate clearly this is for one unit.Feel pretty ripped off if I’m honest which is a shame because Anley flag gearIs usually pretty good

I bought these to replace my brass swivel clips because the constant clanging was driving my neighbors a bit daft. I live in Scotland and it can get very windy, so I get it. Well, when I saw these wee treasures I had to have them. They work perfectly. And they look great. My halyard is only 6mm and it fit through the round part no problem. But I can’t see these working with much thicker rope tbh. But they are perfect for what I need them for. So thanks again Amazon.

Rubber-coated flag clips are a smart idea - it stops the irritating “rattle” that can be very intrusive when least wanted! These are well made, and the brass also reduces the risk of corrosion problems.

Despite the product description, only one rope clip was sent. I note from the below comments that this isn’t the first time it has happened.
