Works great, heats up metal instrument fast
For dental use, waxing dentures or whatever you want to do.You insert the metal instrument, in my case a spatula and it heats it up in 2 seconds, just like a fire would, but to get it real hot keep it for 6 to 7 seconds and it will do the job.I switched from table top torch flame to this electric heater and it works like a dream. It's been half a year and it still does what it has to do. Maybe it heats up instruments a tid slower than a fire would but it's not slow at any rate.

Remember to adjust the sensitivity to you Dynavap
My device didnt work with the dynavap until I strengthened the sensitivity by opening the device and turning the little screw in the middle of the device ontop of a chip. Clockwise to strengthen and visa versa. Works great now.

Complete crap
Got this a almost a year ago and it quit working after about a month. After about two minutes of turning it on, it just starts clicking on and off. It was great when it worked. Should've known

mycology work to sterilize scalpels for agar.
heats up and sterilizes scalpels in seconds. Can use ISO alongside this item without worry fire like when you have an open flame - and for 50 bucks? it's WAY more affordable than most other scalpel sterilizers - homemade or otherwise.will update with any issues. Right now, works like a champ. red hot in moments.

If you’re using it with a dynavap, you’ll have to do a little customizing to hit the sweet spot
Like many others, I bought this to use with a dynavap vapcap. As-is, it’s imperfect for that use, but with a ddave mods insert (less than ten bucks), it’s great and provides even heating without having to stand there holding the vapcap in just the right spot. I’ve been using it for five months without complaint. One thing I’ve done to maximize its lifespan is put it on an extension cord that has its own on/off button. That gives me greater peace of mind about being sure that it’s off, and minimizes the wear and tear on the on/off button on the IH itself.Because it’s pretty industrial looking (understandably so) it’s also not “pretty” for home use. I used some extra vinyl stickers I had that didn’t fit my iPad Pro properly and cut them down to cover the unit. It’s still not beautiful, but it’s a lot less industrial looking.
