Great for older dogs
Easy to give to my dog and he loves the taste of them and eats them as if they are treats. Since purchasing them he is more energetic and likes going out for walks again

A decent supplement but quite expensive for a large breed
These capsules contain several ingredients that are thought to be beneficial for, and support cats and dogs as they get older. Milk thistle is said to support liver function and gingko biloba brain function; improves memory and brain function. It also contains turmeric and bioperin which is good for inflammation and pain relief, and there are a range of B vitamins included as well.I have been sprinkling the capsules on my old Boxer bitch’s meals. She doesn’t seem to mind the powder and eats her food eagerly (mind you, nothing seems to touch the sides these days anyway!). She is coming up to 12 years old which is pretty elderly for a Boxer. She has slowed down a lot in the last few months, but doesn’t have any obvious ailments apart from being a bit creaky and having a slightly arthritic stifle joint. There are going to be no miracles at her age, but if I can give her something to support her general condition and ward off any age-related mental deterioration and make her a bit more comfortable, then I will give any thing a go.I can’t say I’ve noticed any particular improvement in her demeanour but it doesn’t mean this supplement isn’t doing her any good. The main problem I have with it is the cost. She needs four capsules daily for her weight, according to the dosage instructions, which works out at £1.24 per day and the tub would last 22 days. This is quite pricey.Would I recommend it? Well, if you can afford it, and you have a senior pet who needs a bit of support, then I would recommend it on the basis of the ingredients. I don’t think I will be continuing to buy it though as I haven’t seen any measurable difference in my girl, but all dogs are different and if you have a smaller breed it would be much more cost-effective as the tub would last longer.

I'm a great believer in using natural products and these are worth a try
First things first is to say I'm a great believer in using natural products and these are worth trying. In fact I've been giving my boy turmeric and CBD for a few years now and recently also seen a great herbal vet, to work alongside my own vet to see what we else can do to help my beautiful boy. My lovely dog Jasper is 14.5 yrs old is suffering from some CCD (Canine cognitive dysfunction, also know as doggy dementia) as well as really bad osteoarthritis and chronic separation anxiety since he's gotten really old. My herbal vet had given me some astragulus and other things and I know she talked about ginkgo which is good for both humans and dogs for memory and CCD. So I was interested to try this, interestingly in my case and particular dog she suggested cutting back on the turmeric but this doesn't have a huge amount in, I was more interested in the milk thistle, ginkgo and B vitamins for him. And also remember that 'most' of these natural products and supplements can be given alongside prescribed meds from your vet. However I'd have to give my dog 4 a day, which means that these would only last around 20 days and at £26.99 these are very expensive (though worth it if they help). But for me it's cheaper to see the herbal vet as I can claim on insurance.I've used them for a few days by sprinkling on his food, but it was too early to see if they were helping, and due to his conditions and meds/herbal products he was on I suspect I wouldn't have had any success as I think he's too far gone. But sadly I can't test them any further as I lost my beautiful boy 2 days ago. R.I.P Jasper, missing him so much.Anyway I hope you found this helpful to some degree. Please do let me know if you did :)

Shame the cat doesn't like them!
I got these because we have a not-our-cat that we feed and he has a cushion on our settee. As he's a bit of an old cat-man, I thought it would be a good idea to get these to help keep him in tip-top shap. He's about 18 years old although he still acts like a kitten, when he's not eating or sleeping and because it says on the tub that these capsules are a "tasty liver flavour" I thought they would be a sure bet in boosting his cognitive care.He can't stand them!He won't eat food when the contents of one of these is put into it and he's not a cuddly sort of cat that you can hug him and chuck them down his throat. I like having my eyes in their sockets, thankyouverymuch!Give them their due, the capsules are fairly easy to open and there's a lot of the supplement in there, so you do need to be a bit careful not to spill it everywhere, because there's a chance it might stain. There was a sticky label over the majority of the instructions as well, so I ended up wrecking some of the label underneath trying to remove it so I could see the intsructions. There's ample unlabelled plastic container to put these extra labels on there, so why not do that, people at Amazon that stick extra labels on?Luckily, next door have a dog that will eat anything, so I'll give the rest to them for her. Someone may as well get some use from them hadn't they?
