When I decided to go back to straightening my hair instead of natural hair I went looking for this flat iron. This heats up quickly and I have noticed minimal damage to my hair even at the highest setting. I used this every other day and it has held up well. Given that my hair has grown greatly over the last year I will say that my straightening time is not that long. With the slim design I am able to get close to the scalp so I don't have wavy roots and extra lift.
