Fair Indigo Fair Trade Baby Alpaca Sweater Dress

I'm very happy with the quality of construction. Seams and finishing are very smooth and confortable. The Baby Alpaca is a pleasure to wear. The colors are more beautiful in person with a varigated heather that's almost 3 dimensional. Sweater knits are always a bit more form fitting but the gentle shaping and drapiness over proper undergarments is very appealing. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because the label states "Dry Clean Only". I was crestfallen to read that after trying them on and already being very attached. I don't tolerate dry cleaning of any kind anymore due to chemical sensitivity. ***DISCLAIMER*** I washed them in cold water, in a garment bag, on gentle with a tiny bit of soap nuts concentrate and used a rack to lay them out to dry. They came out beautifully. I will wash them VERY CAREFULLY and as infrequently as possible. I make no professional claims or expertise to caring for woolen garments but I wash/spot clean all my woolens, be they lambswool, cashmere, alpaca, ETC, so I feel confident in my abilities. Results may vary for someone else.

The peacock heather is not simply a teal, but a beautiful weave of blues and greens. It’s mesmerizing. The alpaca is soft, but light. I found I needed a slip, but the weight is fine enough that it doesn’t feel bulky with a slip. It fits exactly as expected, true the rest of Fair Indigo sizing. I hope it’s as durable as beautiful, because I look forward to wearing it for a long time.

I have gotten a lot of compliments on this sweater. It looks great with a belt to give it a little more of a flattering shape and is pretty comfy. It is significantly less itchy than wool but still a little itchy. Hopefully washing it a few times will help. I am happy with the product and its ethical origins.

I'm an athletic build & really like the looser fit of this dress. The color is so pretty & actually has specks of deep blue. Material is not a thick sweater.

I love this sweater- I used it with pants and it kept me warm during the record breaking cold three weeks ago. I even bought two because they are so pretty and warm

Beautiful dress, with rich colors - very soft, but you need something underneath because it is a bit itchy, like wool, but with a turtleneck it feels fine.
