An excellent resource for people learning about music publishing as well as being a handy reference book for those already working in it. The authors are experts from experience in the discipline rather than being theorists; that makes all the difference.

I've used the previous edition of this textbook for my university music business classes for 5 years. Glad to see it updated to reflect the 2018 changes to copyright law. Music publishing concerns the exploitation and licensing of the underlying songs as opposed to the recordings. This book exhaustively covers industry conventions, copyright rules and regulations that govern licensing of songs and songwriter royalties. Highly recommend.
