Assembly instructions are in Chinese, but easy to figure out.
This is my 2nd experience with a parabolic solar cooker, and this one rally kicks butt!I can fry bacon, cook burgers, or a pot of chili in the same time as if using my kitchen range. As mentioned above, the instructions in Chinese, but good details as to pictures, all of the parts were included and easily identifiable. It took about an hour to assemble by myself, so not too bad. It is very sturdy, and has already survived some high winds that sent it rolling, with no damage. You get your money's worth with the LiFuJunDong 1800W Concentrating Solar Cooker Solar Cooker Sun Oven 1.5m Diameter Parabolic cooker.

Yes, IT WORKS!!!
As a former Machinist and Diesel Mechanic with a Mechanical Engineering degree, I consider myself to be pretty good at assembling things. I usually don't need the instructions much. This was a little confusing to put together and the instructions suck.It is rather large and difficult to store in one piece being that it is over 5ft in Dia.Put together with cheap Chinese parts.BUT when you get it focused in on a sunny summer day... This thing will burn the paint off your pan in seconds. My pot was boiling in minutes.I can see this being a great emergency cooker. But it is simply not convenient for every day use.

Build the solar plate before the stand, everything else will fall in place easily.
When it came the packaging was a little beat-up, the instructions were in Chinese so it was pretty hard to assemble it took me two days. But once I finally figured out how to put it together it was an amazing sight to see & it performed a wonderful action especially with full sun. I was able to burn paper and cardboard within seconds in mid air and it took 5 to 10 minutes to cook it heats up as soon as you put it in the sun so be careful not to burn yourself.

Not a Gimmick, Not a Toy, Serious Cooking Appliance
When I first bought this, I thought it would be a gimmicky thing I took out once in a while to show friends and family. What I've found is this is actually a very functional cooking and heating appliance.Pros:- Boils a kettle full of water faster than my gas range does- Hotspot is extremely hot and can be used for cooking, boiling, and even burning wood or other materials- Easy to adjust with the hand crank and wheelsCons:- This is a Chinese product and all instructions for assembly and operation are in Chinese- Assembly is kind of a pain. It took me an entire afternoon and a very sore back to figure out how it all went together and then actually put it together- They didn't include enough nuts and I had to supplement with my own stockCaveats:- The hotspot is EXTREMELY bright. As other reviewers have suggested, you should use sunglasses when operating this appliance- It's very lightweight and has a lot of surface area. If you're in an area where high winds are a concern, you will need a safe place to store this- I'd keep this far away from kids and small animals and put it away if not in use. Don't leave it out and pointed at cars, buildings, trees, or anything else that could melt or burn. The hotspot is EXTREMELY hot.- During assembly, I recommend grabbing a wrench or vise grip, a drill, and a socket adapter and appropriately sized socket for the bolts. Using power tools will make assembly much faster.

Cooks only in a tiny spot, and scary fire hazard
This was a fun purchase with a lot of WOW factor as a gift, but impractical for daily use. Assembly was difficult, manual was in another language. One part didn't attach correctly. Once we got it built and tried it out with a cast iron pan on top, sure enough it worked to fry an egg. We also tried a chicken leg, but the sunlight was so concentrated to one tiny spot on the bottom of the pan, that only that spot cooked, and it actually left a mark on my pan. I hesitated to test out any more cookware on it. If it heated more evenly and less intensely I would want to use it more. It was hard to refrain from looking in it, but after seeing what it did to my pan I was sure to wear sunglasses around it and avoid staring. It seemed like it could easily catch the house on fire if positioned in such a way as to point the concentrated beam of light at the wooden deck or tree branch. It's hard to store bc its so huge and doesn't come apart easily. Overall it was exciting but scary. I wanted to love it and use it frequently, and I could have gotten over my fear of it-- IF it heated evenly enough to cook things as efficiently as my gas grill. A product that needs design improvement and compatible cookware. Lots of potential here, not there yet. We keep it in the event of an apocalypse where we would need to roast squirrels to survive. Wish we could use it more comfortably.

Cheaply Made Toxic Coating.
CONS: its made in china and has a toxic coating that melts when the beam hits it. The parts come dented and the welds are not complete. I am sure its lead based or worse! PROS: Easy to assemble and really large, I mean huge! So you could make several small cookers from the 6 panels.

excellent parabolic oven for the price
Guitarzan review goes over assembly, so i'll skip that part. Read the specs beforehand, but still, once assembled this oven is big ~ nearly 5 feet in diameter. I wouldn't simply set it up and leave it outside, so storage should be considered. The oven is really hot at the focus point! First use, it burned off the paint on the metal hoop that holds the cooking pan, giving off a fair amount of smelly smoke, but ok after that. I suggest using dark glasses when using it, not kidding. As you walk around it or adjust it as sun moves, you will get reflections off the dish, and they are crazy bright. Be careful, and don't let young kids near it unsupervised. It is so hot at the focus point that i wrecked an enamaled pot that had liquid in it. I've ended up putting a flat cast iron tortilla/pancake pan on the hoop, and putting the cooking pan on top of that. Cooks a little slower, but more controllable.Customer service is quite good - the unit arrived with a misaligned hoop, and they were very helpful providing a replacement.Very pleased with this unit overall.
