Don't buy this unless you want, what looks like it should have been an excellent product, but is not because some one decided, I would guess to save a few pennies, and attach the four clips on the cover to the bottom plate. There are four of these clips which work good until (and by until I mean) the two very small plastic pieces which hold the top to the plate breaks. It took a couple of uses for the first one to break and a couple more uses for the second. I now have two out of four that are not broken or two out of four which depend on whether you are an optimist or a pessimist. In any event what looks like an excellent product and worked like an excellent product until you used it and it started falling apart. Some one should be ashamed to make such a product and Amazon, who I frequent, should also be ashamed to have among its inventory of good products one such as this. Hey G & S Metal Products I'll bet you can do much better than this. Potential buyers I would hold up on the purchase of this until this part is made over correctly this time.

For the rare times I carry a cake to a potluck, this carrier works fine, although I would not risk carrying it by the handles, which are pretty flimsy. I do not care for the non-stick coated base, because cutting anything on it would scratch it badly. I put my cake on a cardboard round before setting in on the base, because no plate I had would fit inside. The other possible problem was the clips that fastened the cover to the base. Took a few tries to get them all to clip on and they, too, were pretty flimsy. But for something I might use only a couple of times a year for things I would not want to cover with plastic wrap, it is a good buy.

When my previous cake carrier were broken by my toddler niece, I immediately wanted another one. It is one of the best things I had bought myself because it gave me a good way to the many desserts I bake. My other one lasted 5 years. I bought this one last August, owning it for about 3 months. Already it is broken. One of clasps that connects the top to the bottom cracked and fell off. This is really unacceptable.

You know you're getting up there in age when your favorite new toy is a damn cake cloche. It's really pretty awesome. I love that you can just take a cake you made with you somewhere and cut and serve from the bottom it comes with. I also like that the handle doubles as coverable air holes so you can opt for keeping the airholes open or shut depending on what you made. Travels well. There's no divots or anything to hold a cake in place on the bottom of it so it may not be total perfection for a rocky trip with an iced cake but for pound cakes that can take a little more handling, it's a rockstar. I'm not sure if it's just a great recipe but I have a poundcake in mine right now that's currently 5 days old and still moist, and not in the gross gooey way from the glaze or something. The cake itself is holding up great. Just make sure you properly latch all four hinges before you go swinging this thing around.

The pan itself was sturdy and easy to clean, but when it came to the lid the clips are super cheap and broke within a week after delivery. Seriously whoever designed this lid was smoking something because you do not use cheap plastic to secure a heavy cake on said pan! I would have paid more money if they redesigned the clips for the lid with food grade aluminum instead of cheap Chinese grade plastic, extremely disappointed since I bought 4 of them don't bother trying to contact the company they will not return your call I tried and no return answer when I left a voice message at their call center.

The first one I received was cracked so it wouldn’t clip. The replacement, the base was completely bent out of shape. Fortunately for the replacement they didn’t require a return so I could put the good top together with the good base and not have to replace it yet again. But 2/2 products broken? I don’t have much confidence it will last long,

We bought 10 of these and made Cheesecakes for Unexpected Christmas goodies! Added a pretty bow and these were the perfect Christmas present! Nice quality and sturdy for travel! We carried them to several parties and family gatherings, and they are priced reasonably enough to leave them.Cheers!

This is the second one of these I have had. Not sure how old the first one was, as I got it at an estate sale, but it served me well for years. Finally, as others have noted, the clips broke off (I continued to use it until there was just one left though), and its base has been relegated to pizza warming. Fits a pie or a Bundt cake well. Check the maximal diameter of you pie dish if it is the kind with handles, as it is a tight fit for mine.

I'm putting three starts and not one only because Amazon courteously agreed to replace item for free. However I will submit another review with a one if this repeats. The item as designed is very good, however it arrived broken: one of the small locks is broken and not functioning (leaving the box not hermetic) and the area around it is dented. I hope I wasn't sent an item that someone else returned.

Acabo de recibirla el jueves, y al día siguiente coloque un pastel qué compre y cuando me serví, se rompió uno de los seguros, sin hacer fuerza me quede con el en la mano, decepcionado!

Me encanta cocinar y es muy práctico para llevar los pasteles o galletas lo que se desee voy mucho a reuniones familiares y lo uso mucho me encanta

La charola con teflon es excelente y los broches para ajustar la tapa fucionan perfectamente, el pan se mantiene en perfectas condiciones.

Buena calidad y acordé con el precio. Solo hay que tener cuidado con la base ya que se puede rallar si partes un pastel o un pan en el.
