Galison William Morris Morning Garden File Folders, Multi-color (30382) Misc. – December 1, 2010

These are really good quality. They include labels. They are wonderful. I am so pleased I found these when hunting for an update for my filing system. They are the best I've ever purchased.

I love love these beautiful folds. I've ordered dozens of them to organize all of my household and business files. I just feel so much more genteel and, I don't know, lady-like! when I pull these out instead of the older ones I had. i had plain colors and a few other patterns, none were as lovely as these - all four of these patterns are beautiful. Of course, that's William Morris for you. Anything that helps me get organized is most welcome in my house. The blank stickers (extra in every pack) are great. Also, four tabs across seems to be about the right number for me - five is too many (the tabs are too small!) and three seems a bit wasteful - you need a lot of thicker files or the tabs hide the next set of folders from easy view. Seems like a small thing to pick on but in the end I just wanted to mention it is one of the things I like about this set.

There are four designs in the pacakge, each with two folders. They are beautiful! While they are not as heavy as manila folders, they are heavy stock. I use mine almost every day at work (I've had them about four months), and they are holding up really well. The coordinating tab labels that come with them are a nice touch. I thought, if I'm going to keep active files out on my desk, they should be pretty. These fit the bill perfectly in terms of appearance and quality, and I couldn't be happier with them.

These are standard heavy-cardstock folders. What makes them special, is the print. These are tucked into an open file-box for a micro-office, and since they are visible I wanted them to look pretty as well. The print is bright and vibrant, without being overly garish. Having a pretty place to file things is a perfect way to make an otherwise mundane task like putting away paperwork feel just a bit less chore-like.

I bought these for use in my office at work, where I have a lot of files (so much for a paperless system...). I bought one package to use for special files. They are sturdy. They are a bit slippery if you are carrying them stacked on top of one another so beware of them slipping and losing the contents. I remedied this by using a big file clip or large rubber band around them. They are no worse for the wear. The only thing I am not pleased about is that they do no have scoring at the bottom to "expand" the file. I remedied this by lining my ruler up on the inside of the file where I wished to have a scored line, then took pointed pen cap to make the score myself. I made sure to keep the ruler in place as I made the fold so it would be straight and crisp. I like them. They are a "smile" in an otherwise manila world! :)

These folders are lovely!! They are a nice weight/thickness, cut clean, and colors are clear and crisp. They are a solid light pink on the inside. They are a little slick, but that was not an issue for me. The label stickers worked great, although I did have to run a lot of practice sheets to get my label names to line up before I sent the label sheet through the printer, not a problem if you have nice hand writing, but I wanted an Arts & Crafts font, so it was worth the effort. I would definitely recommend this product. In fact I suspect that I will buy more as gifts for my A&C friends!!

I am not a person that enjoys filing or other mundane office work. As the CEO of our home, this falls under my job description. Pretty file folders always help and these are some of the prettiest folders I've purchased. Great weight and hold up well.

Files mean work. They mean desks, deadlines, and to-do lists. Ugly khaki colored file folders look like death. That is why it makes me happy to see the Morris prints on my desk, and make me smile despite the to-do lists. They don't change the amount of work, but the gorgeously organic designs create a mental escape into the lovely for just a moment. I find it perfectly satisfying that these file folders resonate the philosophy of Morris himself who said, "If you want a golden rule that will fit everybody, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." This is both.
