I have been using a grater for zesting for years, I never really zested enough to even know there was such a thing. I did the Whole30 program last month however and a lot of recipes call for zesting and I was tired of grating my fingernails (am I the only one?!) so I researched zesters. This one is great! My husband and I were both amazed at how much zest it gets compared to a regular grater. We thought some of the recipes we called for were using ridiculous amounts but it turns out a regular grater just couldn't compare. Be warned, this zester is really sharp! It comes with a cover and I highly recommend leaving it on when not in use. It is also much longer than I expected. I pictured it being like the size of a potato peeler but it's closer to double that in length.

Have had this for long enough to say I love it. Does the job of fine grating parmesan cheese, garlic, carrots, nutmeg, ginger root . . . anything you want to finely grate. Super zester for lemon and orange rinds. So easy to clean. Under faucet water, run a sponge (soapy or not) once or twice in smooth direction (not against teeth) and rinse. After much use and washings, still shines and looks like new. Quality materials. Cover snaps on and off easily and makes convenient, safe handling.. Caution should be used when using, very sharp.

I have been wanting a zester. I bake a lot and have seen several recipes call for lemon or orange zest. I was debating on if I should get this zester or a more expensive zester. So I finally decided on this one. I am so glad I did!This zester is very sturdy and ridged. It comes with a safety plastic cover. The cover easily snaps on and off.I grated a ginger root with it. The zester works perfectly. I can't wait to try it on a lemon & orange. I highly recommend this cheaper zester. Don't spend $10+ on a zester. The ginger rooted I grated with it looked perfect. I had grated the ginger root for tea.

I found that this zester/grater was more of a grater. I tried using it for lemon and lime zest and found the fruit would catch and take off some of the rind as well. Im a little disappointed for that reason since its the main reason I purchased it, but it is a decent grater. Very sharp, cleans easy and has a cover.

This thing is SHARP! The first time I used it, I zested part of my thumb off :(but now I'm used to using it and I use it almost every time I cook. I zest lemons, limes, I've used it for ginger and garlic. I didn't know I needed a zester until I started using Blue Apron regularly and it makes such a difference to the flavor of my food. Glad I got it

Nice zester. Wash it after use, and dry it right away to prevent possible rust. BE CAREFUL with this baby. I cut a slice off of my knuckle. It took very little force for that to happen. These things are sharp! It works really well in zesting oranges.

Very good grater/zester.I prefer a larger zester for home use, but this one was purchased for camping and its compact size is an asset.
