This Amish handmade one of s kind, Pennsylvania cherry French rolling pin, is absolutely perfect. It’s just what I had been looking for. Throughly appreciate that it was hand crafted in the USA, using USA wood!

This French rolling pin is fantastic! The weight and balance are perfect. The surface is perfectly smooth. If that wasn't enough, the coloring is beautiful. So much better than my "handled" rolling pin! I can't wait to try out new pastry recipes where I need to taper the edges (something that was basically impossible with a flat, handled, rolling pin. However, it does take some getting used to if all you've ever used is the flat rolling pin with handles at each end. This rolling pin is tapered, and the way it's used is different. I recommend giving yourself time (and maybe an extra batch of dough) to play with it and get a feel for it before jumping into making something important while under a time constraint (i.e. make a "test" pie before Thanksgiving comes around).

This rolling pin is stunningly beautiful and nicely finished. It's neither too light nor too heavy, but feels good. Well worth the price. I will not only keep it but will display it openly in my kitchen.
