Easy to install - No more iron in my water!
I bought this product on Dec 14th 2023 for $729.99 (before tax), was delivered on Dec 20th so just under a week. I purchased the 64K grain with iron control (HS32FM). From what I was reading it does a better job at iron removal than the standard model. I wasn't sure if I exactly needed it, but iron was a big problem for me so I went with it just to have something else to help with reducing the iron levels. I have just over a 900sqft house 2 bed 1 bath. I decided to go with a larger grain in the event I add more beds/baths on my house or do an addition. I'm on well water and live in northwest Indiana and iron/rust in this area is terrible. I had a WaterBoss Model 700 (from Menards) and it could never keep up with the iron. I even have a whole house filter before my water softener to help and seemed to always still have problems. I would recommend staying with the default 1" line and reduce to a 3/4" if you can, just in the event you ever increase your water lines you don't need to worry about downsizing to the softener. I've had this for a little over a month now (installed 8/20/23; review 1/24/24). Pros: - no more iron in my water (small amount prior) - no stains on my shower curtains (had to replace shower curtain every other month to not look disgusting) - no smell to my water (smelt like eggs in the past) Kept having to bleach well (which prob isn't good for it) - no more iron taste in the water - Easy Install (lots of videos to reference for install) Cons: - programming settings could be explained in more detail - had to increase Rapid Rinse (RR) time from default 15min to 20min in order to not have rust after regen. - Goes through more salt than expected - plastic taste to water Overall I'm happy with my purchase. I no longer have to worry about rust or smell to my water which was always unpleasant and embarrassing for when guests came over. Plus no one wants smelly rusty water in general. Although programming the settings could be explained better, installation was pretty simple, and if you do your research and watch some videos you can easily do it yourself and save yourself a ton of money. For salt I'm still using the Morton water softener pellets with rust defense. Haven't needed to use any additional powder for the iron. Water comes out super clean, and no smell. Picture attached is before and after (top is before, bot is after).

3 yrs and running fine
Installed three years ago. Solid instructions and simple hook up. It has been working well, I am changing filters every six months, I may change that to every 4 as I am getting some staining from my well water.

Easy to Install if Pre-Plumbed, No Plumbing experience
My husband and I were able to install this water softener ourselves by following the directions from the manual provided and following along some videos on youtube. We have no plumbing experience at all so don't feel afraid to do it yourself if you already have a soft water loop pre-plumbed. We have the 1 inch soft water loop so we purchased 2 sharkbite 24 inch line connectors with 1 inch to 1 inch heads from amazon also. If you have the 3/4 inch sized loop, you can purchase the sharkbite 3/4 inch to 1 inch fitting lines instead. Honestly, we weren't even sure what size loop we had. We just eyeballed it. You could always buy both and return the one that doesn't fit. We went to home depot to get the rest of the stuff, copper pipe cutter, plumbers tape, sanding paper etc... Took us around 2 hours. Most of which was just making sure everything was done correctly so there wouldn't be any leak. If we had to do it again, we could probably do it in less than 1 hour. Unit was not as heavy as we initially thought. We were able to move it with just the 2 of us. It came in 2 boxes. Just so you know, there is no welding involved, the sharkbites will automatically lock into the pipe. That was my biggest worry regarding installing ourselves. One guy has a really good video on youtube from beginning to end. I really recommend watching that prior to attempting the install. I spent a lot of time researching water softeners before choosing this one and I'm so glad I did. You can definitely tell a huge difference in the water quality with this softener. Your skin and hair will feel really soft and amazing after the first use. I'm so glad we decided to go this route instead of spending thousands of dollars with a soft water company that uses scare tactics to get your money. Don't get ripped off. Hopefully this review will help someone that wants to save some money.

Great for the price!
Brought as it was cheaper compared to any otherwas on deal for thanks giving. Both softener and filter does job good. We could see changes in reduced white deposits due to hard water on appliances like dishwasher. When tested also it has reduced hardness in water. Salt consumption for 2 adults and 2 kids is just 1 bag per month. More than 6 months I have used and no issues seen till now. Compared to other softeners from Costco this much cheaper and DIY.

High quailty unit, great customer service
I spent considerable effort comparing various water softeners and service options before discovering this unit. All were more expensive, and not necessarily as well made. I called Aquasure three times before purchasing this to decide the right size (AS-HS48D) and the right media (Fine Mesh option). I needed to confirm it would handle 5 grains hardness plus 21 mg/L (1 grain) iron, and decide pre-flush time and, reserve gallons, how many gallons to allow between each recharge. Their representative was very helpful on each call. Ordered the unit, it arrived about three business days later shipped by Amazon Prime (Fedex) in great condition, solid packaging and protection of the tank, all parts and manual included, just as advertised. Had my plumber install it and set the programming to my choices., although most would not need this help. The unit is solid, working perfectly. Compared to a couple local options available, I ended up with a better unit and also saved $500 compared to a similar model (more than $1200 compared to a "full service" water softener specialist provided model with much lower capacity). Programming the unit is easy, it is very well made, and it came with all hoses, tubes, and valves. 2 months in, I am very satisfied.
