Works Well
I have been using this product for about two years now. Brushing a dog’s teeth can be very difficult, and while I also tried water additives, my dog refused to drink his water when they were added. A coworker suggested this gel as an alternative, and it turned out to be a great recommendation. My dog doesn’t love it, but he doesn’t fight it either, which is a big win. I generally use it twice per day. When we go to the vet, his teeth aren’t perfect — there is still some buildup, and he will eventually need a professional cleaning — but this product definitely helps. His teeth look good overall, and my vet has been pleased with their condition during checkups. I can’t speak to the taste since I haven’t tried it myself, but my dog doesn’t seem to dislike it. The gel is thick, and you only need a small amount for it to work. As soon as I place a drop on the inside of his cheek, he immediately starts licking, which helps coat his teeth. It works exactly as described by the manufacturer. While the bottle isn’t very large, it lasts me about six months, making it an affordable and easy-to-use alternative to brushing. The ingredients are similar to toothpaste and include things like green tea and spearmint, but the formula is specifically designed for dogs. If you’re looking for something that actually helps keep your dog’s teeth clean and is easy to use, this product works and I highly recommend it.

It helps; here are my tips
I've been using this gel on my 4yr old shih tzu - terrier mix, and while I didn't have quite the dramatic results that some of the other reviewers saw, it definitely helps my pooch and I'm happy to continue using it as part of her teeth cleaning routine. My dog hadn't had her teeth professionally cleaned by the vet in approximately two years, and I feel bad because I'd let her teeth get out of hand, the plaque was really starting to build up and her breath was stinky and her gums were super red. I was reluctant to have her teeth cleaned so often (every year) because of the need for anaesthesia, but I also realized that if I didn't step up my care of my pup's teeth she was gonna lose her teeth early. So last November (it's May as I write this) I began to train her to let me brush her teeth. I use the C.E.T. brand of enzymatic toothpaste. She loves the flavors, like a treat, but the downside is it didn't leave fresh breath. Also while I saw slow improvement, it was more time intensive (10-15 min, which I recognize isn't that much time, but... It did get forgotten), and I searched Amazon for something to pair with my efforts. In February, I came across this gel. The reviews are great, and for the cheap price, it seemed easy to try. To be honest she doesn't love the taste! When I get out her toothbrush and toothpaste she is excited and licks her lips, but she's not really into this gel and advoided it at first. I persisted though because I could tell she wasn't distressed about the gel in her mouth, just picky, haha. So what I do is, once a day I wait until she's calmly sleeping, and then without showing her the bottle, I put a drop on my finger, gently lift her lip, and quickly swipe across her teeth, back to front. Then I give her lots of praise and pats, and she doesn't mind at all, she's used to it now. I do this for times, two drops each side, if she stays chill. But if she gets up and walks away (which she'll occasionally do), I'll let her be and don't force it. Usually I do this at night when I'm getting ready for bed myself. This works for us. And because I don't force her with the teeth cleaning routines and keep it positive, she is more willing and happy. Along with gel, and brushing her teeth 4x a week (sometimes more; I recommend doing it while watching TV!), I've seen huuuuuge improvement in her mouth health. There's still a bit of plaque and tartar that I hope to see lessen over time, but her gums are healthy and her breath is nice. By the way, I recommend washing your hands after applying the gel or brushing your dog's teeth, dog's mouths aren't the cleanest. Although I do let my dog lick me so I recognize the irony ha...! Happy overall. Best in conjunction with brushing, but definitely a speedy way to freshen breath and help clean teeth between brushings. Now if only I could figure out how to clean my finnicky old rescue cat's teeth.....!

Toothpaste for dogs
Little skeptical about using dog stuff for dogs in their mouth I’ve used it before and it’s OK. She’s got a sensitive stomach and she didn’t throw up. I use it here and there she lets me use it.

After struggling to brush my dog's teeth for a few years, I came across this product. I just run a drop along her gumline on each side of her mouth at bedtime. She seems to like the taste and doesn't resist having me apply it, as she did (vigorously!) with brushing. At 11 years old, her teeth still look healthy and white, she rarely has bad breath, and she has never lost a tooth to decay. She has been able to go longer between cleanings as well, which not only offsets the cost of the gel but also reduces the worry about having to anesthetize an older dog for dental work. Other dog owners have commented on my dog's clean white teeth, so even strangers notice how well this product works. It might work even better with occasional brushing, as the instructions suggest, but seems to do a good job of reducing plaque build-up even without brushing - which makes both me and my dog happy!

It's good and powerful gel, but need to follow this dental routine daily and still for the effect (plague and tartar removal) need to brush it too with soft brush. My dog doesn't enjoy much because it has strong smell of alcohol content, but only this gel is really powerful, item is authentic.

I’ve used this for a while now and love it for my dog. You don’t have to brush using this but if your dog has some build up, I’d use a soft brush to get that off and once it’s off you can just go back to using this without brushing. I’m back and forth between brushing or only applying this. Depends on the day. But good stuff.
