HFS (R) Quick Release Woodworking Vice Size 179mm (7IN)

I bought this standard opening vice a few months ago for around £30 which at the time I thought was a fair price for a basic vice.I have fitted it in my little workshop and have used it on numerous occasions now. I made my jaws out of soft wood, just because that is what I had available. I have approx. a 130mm opening to fit my work in.I personally find this vice does everything I want from it and have not really had any issues.So would I recommend or buy again, well that would totally depend on price. I was looking to buy this vice for my Uncle but the price had gone up by more than 25% and at that price I don't think this vice is worth it. He ended up spending £65 for a quick release vice that also looked slightly sturdier. So the bottom line is I don't think at the higher price that this is good value for money, but if that is not an issue for you then from a product quality point of view I do recommend this vice.

This sturdy vice was let down because the jaws do not clamp up squarely in the vertical axis.
