Rubie's Costume Burgundy Velvet King's Cape

The product seems to be ok in size but the trim was really bad. It doesn't look ANYTHING like the picture. I don't have time to replace, so I had to keep. I will try to trim all the messy edges & steam the lapel so it looks like a cape.

I needed something simple and fast for an event. This seemed like the perfect option. It performed well.Pros:+ good price+ appropriate colors (mine is a royal/apple red -- too bright to be burgundy; definitely not pink)+ fits well+ stretchyCons:- white fluff flops over because it's not secured to the red cape (I did some sewing to attach it to fix this)- sheds red fluff underneath- gold trim gets a little sloppy in areas (not 1 contiguous length)

I ordered the robe, scepter and crown from this site. It looked great!

I didn't expect a whole lot, and yet, it was much less than I expected. The garment was made from cheaper material than I thought it would be, since I paid a little more for this one over what the regular Party City grade costume goes for.More than that, the seams for the faux fur down the front were sewn so crooked that it wouldn't lay flat. Rather, it hung over my shoulders and the faux fur opened in, revealing the unsightly back side of the fabric. It took me three hours of hand sewing to stitch it all flat, picking the white fur out of my stitches to hide the thread lines. When I did that, the front corners of the robe were different heights and some bundling needed to be done to get it to be symetrical. I sewed in two large washers for weight to help it hang better, which helped it feel more secure on my shoulders too. I would have rejected it and sent it back if I didn't have to perform in the children's Christmas program the next morning.I hope this was the exception, and most of these robes are at least sewn right. If it was sewn with any care at all, this item would be ok and I would give it three stars. I give it one star so that anyone looking at this can know that if you need it fast, and you don't have time to get another one, this is not a safe bet.Peace on Earth. Good will to you. Thank you.

This was a great gag gift for a man’s birthday. He is over 6ft tall and average weight, everything fit and looked great. Note: I ironed down the fur from the inside so it wouldn’t curl and then turned it out and ironed on the seam —all on lowest steam setting to ensure the drape. It came a bit rumpled. Got it same day, too!

Got this for my daughter who was doing a play at school. Worked out great! It's lightweight so you don't get too hot while wearing it. It's a nice feeling fabric and great color. It's a good quality costume and for the price you'll definitely hang on to it and use it again and again. It's definitely not luxurious by and mean, but the red was a dark red/burgundy and the white was a nice bright white contrast.

Decent quality for a halloween costume. This review is late but figured I might as well write about it. I didn't have any problems with it dragging on the floor or tripping over it and I'm only 6ft tall. Its in the closet just incase king Bob needs to make another appearance.

This is perfect for a costume and will hold up relatively well. Other reviewers mentioned the fact the front white flap doesn't stay down very well, but a few well-placed safety pins or a couple small stitches will fix that in no time. It took me literally 15 minutes to tack the front pieces down - and I am not a person that sews. For the price, what do you expect? It's a great product, if you're looking for a costume.

生地が薄く縫製も雑で非常にちゃちいです。これで6000円は高いと思います。ただ、他の似たような品物はもっとひどそうな感じでしたし、他にどこで買ってよいものか分かりませんでしたので、高いけどこれを注文しました。まあ一応ベルベット調にしてあるので、舞台でちょっと使うだけの用途としては仕方ないかな、というところです。

星付けないとレビューできないので☆1にしましたが、本当は付けたくありません。ありえないくらいひどい縫製。生地は切りっぱなし、真っ直ぐに裁断できていない、縫い目は手縫い？というくらいひどい！現物を見ていたら500円でも購入しませんでした。
