The product itself does what it says. Is the hat too big, you can use and it still make it fit somehow.There are some downsides of this.Even though you can "make it tighter" it does not change the fact, that the hat itself is too big. So either you place it on the correct height on your forehead and there is space/air between your head and the hat, or the hat just slides down on your face anyways.Also I would recommend only using this on "hard shell hats". Because on these soft ones, you can see the thing from the outside, as it deforms the hat a bit.As I said, in some cases can help you so you can wear the hat in the first place; might just not be the ideal solution

Bought these to adjust hubby’s hat, a bit fiddly to work with but now in situ with hat fitting

This is amazing. Always have a problem with hats such as fedoras not staying on my head because they're hard and usually too big on my head. Used this all around the base of the hat until if fit snugly on my head. Also doubled up with extra 2 stickers. My hat now feels snug and secure and won't get blown off with the smallest breeze. Love it. Will definitely buy again if I have an issue with big hats.
