Really great clock. This was the simplest thing ever to set all the functions. I ordered this for my 7 year old and she loves it. If you are looking for a night light, this is not the clock to buy as it only lights up when moved. This was actually a good thing for us. The alarm is pretty loud and it has woken up my daughter with no issues. It only lasts for a minute and there is no snooze function, neither one a problem for us. The multifunction tools when turning the clock is such a cool idea and works perfectly. Overall a great little clock for the price. I did just get this so only time will tell how long it will last and continue to work as it should.

Not sure of the longevity of this alarm clock as I just received it but will adorn it with 5 stars as it was just as I had hoped/expected. Maybe even a tad bigger than imagined (although I did see the measurements beforehand) but that is perfect. Would be a little too big as a travel alarm but I didn't need one for that purpose. Happy to find a battery-operated clock that will be easy to move around as I sometimes retreat to the spare bedroom away from a snoring hubby. Love the 24-hr display (you can choose 12 or 24 hr). The numbers are big and clear. The room temp display is also a nice touch and the different functions are easy to find by rotating the clock. The blue color has a retro feel to it.

Very simple unit, with a simple design. The night light feature, which is sensor operated, works great. I would not like to drop this unit too often since the construction is good but not ironclad. Turning it to one side or the other changes the display of temp, time, timer etc. I do not know if there is a snooze or stop alarm switch anywhere on it, I can't find one anyway. So it just drones on and on til it finishes alerting you it's time to get up for work.

Wow, shame on me! I often do a good deal of reading-up on my Amazon purchases before I make them. I was searching for a "cool looking" alarm clock for a child. This one fit the bill--cool shape, and color, and interesting functions that display by rotating the clock. And FIVE STARS! Well, I read the description to the right, and really banked on those five stars because I was in a hurry. I place my order. Well, not only did this item take an extra week to arrive (even though I have Amazon prime and it was Amazon prime eligible) but I was shocked to learn that this clock is solely battery operated and it has no snooze. The alarm sounds for one minute. Period. No changing that. My initial reaction was how could a clock like this get five stars? Well, apparently most of the reviews were made by people who got the item for free in turn for their review. Ok now it all adds up. The more comfortable I get with Amazon the more it reminds me that you have to keep on your toes.

This works. This will show you the time, you can have it run a timer, you can even have an alarm go off or see the temperature if you want. And it looks nice.But it's not all that convenient. The first problem is that you can only do one of those four things at a time, despite the large size of the display, which makes no sense to me. My second problem is that I want this as a kitchen timer, but in order to do that I have to flip it upside-down, hit the set button, and then hold the adjust button until the correct number of minutes show up (and then hit set twice more). A keypad or knob would be a lot faster. I also don't like that the loud timer alarm will continue a full minute unless you physically touch it and flip it back over.And minor note, the volume is indeed loud. Well it's actually got a switch for either louder (very loud) and quieter (normal volume for a timer alarm, not quiet) which basically, with the switch, covers over the speaker to reduce the volume. Kind of clever but low-tech.Other notes: Haven't used the alarm, the temperature view only shows whole degrees (no decimals), and we haven't used the sensor (so I don't know what it does).

Very simple clock for my 7 and 9 year old. The setting of the year is a bit of a pain because you have to circle through 200 years. As long as the kids don't accidently chance it, it's good.My 9 year old reset her alarm clock time on day 2, so that shows you the ease.I like the lack of cord. I didn't think I would, but it works better for the kids.The rotating of the clock for difference screen displays is fun for the kids.It's perfect for simplicity which is good for the kids.The only downside is that the background light doesn't stay on, but a quick rotating movement turns it on.

Update: this clock breaks pretty quickly. They sent me a replacement, so hopefully this one will last longer than the previous one did, but I've added a photo of what happens to the screen in less than a year, along with incessant beeping. Hopefully the replacement will last for at least a few years.I wanted to love this clock. The concept is great: flip it four ways for four different functions. The timer feature is especially useful if you are looking to start working with the Pomodoro technique, or teach it to someone else.Execution of the concept is why I'm giving it a lower rating. First, the clock isn't backlit except when you move it. This means that if you wake up at night, the clock needs to be close enough that you can pick it up to activate the backlight to read the time. I understand that they probably designed it this way to save battery life, but it limits how and where you use it. Second is that there is no snooze for the alarm, so it's not a very realistic alarm clock unless you are the most disciplined of morning risers. Third, is that the clock could either be a lot smaller or the font could be much bigger: the face has a lot of negative space on it. The font for the date and day of the week is tiny, and the time is in a decently sized font but all three could be much larger given how large the face plate is. If they had removed the extra room, the clock could have actually been about an inch shorter, making it more useful for a small desk.
