Security Cam
I got this as a cheap security camera to put facing the entrance of my apartment for security and to see when the occasional maintenance tech stops by so I can quickly run back. Over the past few days I see it has it's ups and it's downs.Pros:-Easy setup. Total of 3 to 4 steps depending on if you use wireless. I have it wired and total set up was less than ten minutes from pulling it out of the Amazon box to playing around with it on my phone.-Great dark/night mode. The IR LEDs light up the whole living room and entrance way of my apartment.-Remote control. Can control camera from phone.-Works with a 32GB Sandisk MicroSD card-Motion alerts and recording based on motion.-Recent inventory. Stamped as passed inspection last month, so (hopefully) has the latest firmware, as I can't find it on Mustcams site.Cons:-Email alerts. Can't get it to work and GMail threw a warning about an insecure device.-WebUI is "Quirky". Both in FF and IE, with and without the plugin installed, the web pages only loaded about half the time, with both the camera and PC on the same wired network.-Video streaming to a remote cellphone? No. Even with the resolution at the lowest setting (320x240) I was only able to stream video once, and that was at about one frame every 3-5 seconds. And this was with a strong 4G cell signal and the camera on a 50/50 FiOS connection. Streaming to the phone on the same network worked fine, however..-As I said earlier, can't find firmware on their site. Not really cons but more notes:The MicroSD card is upside down (pins up) compared to what I thought (pins down, label up). Also, there's an audible click, like a relay, when the IR LEDs kick on.

good cheap camera
Wanted a cheap camera to keep tabs on who comes to my front door and this has more than checked the boxes on that.Setup is super easy. Plug it into your router with the supplied network cable, login with the included default password, and use the web or the app to change the password(very important!) and set up the wifi connection. After that, disconnect the camera and set it up wherever you want and you're good to go.As others have mentioned, I had an issue with setting up alerts to my gmail account. The app crashed during the testing phase and then the email options were missing entirely. I solved this by deleting the camera from the app and re-adding it (all settings are saved on the camera itself so you don't have to reconfigure anything). After this, I still could not access the email settings, but I discovered that I could access them through the camera's web interface. I solved the gmail problem by generating an app-specific password for my google account and using that instead of my actual gmail password. I'm guessing this won't be necessary for people not using 2-factor authentication with their google accounts. The motion detection seems to be very touchy. I have it set to the lowest setting and got about 10 alerts overnight where I couldn't see anything it should detect as motion.. maybe it was raining a bit or maybe it was triggering as the outside light changed from dark to light. Now that the sun has risen I haven't received anymore except for my wife and I leaving the house, as expected.Other thoughts - the blinking green light is annoying and draws more attention than I'd like, so I covered it up. The click noise that it makes when the IRs come on is pretty loud and might get annoying. Have not tested the FTP or sd card recording yet, but I plan to. Accessing the camera over a remote LTE connection worked fine(w/ 25/25 internet at home and camera quality set to normal) - I saw someone else say they didn't have any luck, so I guess it depends on your cell data quality.I'm so happy with this that I'm going to buy at least one more to watch my basement door.

Very disappointed with it! Wast of money and won't recommend
I'm very disappointed with this purchase . This product is not good. I bought it in May and want to use it as a baby monitor. But until December my baby was born I started to use it. Then I found out it can't not be used as a baby monitor at all. First I don't want any alarm but in alarm configure I can not disable. And the worst thing is a big delay happens between what's happening and what I see from this webcam. Contacted the seller and was told to try cable but in my baby's room I can not connect cable. Besides when I'm out and want to see my baby with this webcam I found I can't connect to it at all. Don't know why. Overall, contacted the seller to return but their second email just told me they closed my return request after the first email telling me to use cable connection. But I told them I can't use cable then they closed my request! So this means I wasted money and bought a junk, no use at all!So if you want to buy a baby monitor don't try it. You will be disappointed! And the seller is not so friendly!

Great price but constant blinking light and noisy
I bought this camera as an easy plug and play camera for my toddler's room. It was easy to setup and use with the app on my phone but two things made this product anything but ideal for our use. First, there is a green blinking light that as far as I could tell cannot be shut off. This incessant blinking would be annoying and distracting to me if I was trying to sleep and I noticed my toddler staring straight at the camera. For night use, there are red lights that are softer but still on all night. When we try to pan the camera across the room, it makes a mechanical noise when the camera is moving which would also draw her attention to the camera if she wasn't asleep yet. It is not very incognito and not the right product for us so we will be returning it. Great price though and I am sure it is great in other applications.

I spent a good amount of time trying to make it work
I spent a good amount of time trying to make it work. The camera is great for live feed and priced right. However, the low rating because it is supposed to work with OnVif and I have NVR with OnVif 2.3 and most functionalities don't work. It is going back for return as it's useless to me since the the NVR cannot use it to record videos and the camera FTP feature can upload videos. The FTP feature can, however, upload snapshots on motion detection.
