ZenBlue HQB-3500 792 GPH Submersible Pond Pump with High Strength Ceramic Axel Cores and Low Energy Consumption

Bought this pump for a backyard water feature that I channeled through the yard. I was looking for something that was small, had a good 'throw'--moving water quickly at the height that I needed--as well as having a large discharge. This one fit the bill.For it's discharge, it comes with a standard hose connection thread, and 2 other compression-type fittings, 1" and 1 1/4". I'd say the size of the pump is pretty damn amazing for the water it throws: almost 800 gallons/hour. incredible. In my particular situation, I needed the pump to throw the water up almost 7 feet, and it does it without any problems at all. I adapted it for a larger hose (common PVC parts at Home Depot), so that I had a smoother water flow--since the smaller the hose, the farther and faster the water is thrown. I needed this to be more of a 'pour' than a 'gush'.All in all, it works well. It's quiet in the lower catch vessel, and the screen on it makes for (so far) no clogs.Highly recommended.

We have this pump in the lower pool of our simulated rainforest. It has enough power to easily move a 3-ft. high waterfall. Doesn't seem to clog (there's no filter attached) and does the overall job well. I tried this line of pumps because of the price--they're much cheaper than the others- and because the more expensive models are (a) discontinued or (b) have quality that doesn't match the inflated price. How long ZenBlue pumps will last remains a mystery as they've only been running in this garden a few weeks. However, even the most expensive waterfall pumps can quit after only a few months. So these pumps can't be any worse.

Great little pump. Put it in a tank for Aquaponics.

Tough little guy...I have problems with small items getting sucked into the pump...had to come up with some way to screen it by wrapping it in screen or fabric.

needed a pump to pump water about 6ft up. This thing moves water at a good rate. I only use it to pump water for water changes. I have a 80 gallon show on a tall stand and this gets the water changes done quickly.
