I put this on the moment I stepped off the ferry in Dieppe and was immediately greeted as a member of the family by every passing Frenchman. This is not a "fashion" hat, not wool and looks like a bit of elastic had been sewn into the rim by an ageing partially sighted one-armed person. All that and it came in wrapping with a photo of a stereotypical French bloke wearing a stripy t-shirt. Don't even remember if there were onions involed. I didn't read any reviews first, so I am basically an idiot.

This item is for fancy dress, it's basically a piece of material with a piece of elestic sewn in. You get what you pay for. Not to wear when acting as a serious adult..

This is a costume beret and not at all 'trendy' like it says on the add. No joke, there's a picture of a 'French' man with a drawn on moustache on the tag of the hat. Felt is cheap and what kids use for arts and crafts in kindergarten. AVOID.

poor quality,the top element is glue in to hat with glue visible all around it however enough for fancy costumei give 2 stars as material is fully synthetic not wool as in description

I would use the words “trendy black black wool beret” very lightly. Opening my package I was greated with non other than a fancy dress hat. Very cheap looking and I’m my opinion not at all trendy. It is going to be impossible looking boujee with this sitting on my head.
