I bought this for my 8 channel nvr. It works fine and I have had no issues at all.

It does the job
I bought this to upgrade the 2TB internal HDD supplied with my Reolink cctv system. It was easy, I just removed the existing unit and replaced it with this 6TB unit. Worked first time. All these drives are the same standard fit.I did at first try using this with a StarTech.com eSATA enclosure and plugging it in with an eSATA connector, but for reasons I don't understand, that option didn't work. So, I used this as the internal drive inside the Reolink box, then used the old 2TB drive with the enclosure to plug in externally and everything worked perfectly.

Quality drive and great value
I bought this drive to use with an ANNEKE 8+2CH 3.0MP 1920X1536 CCTV Security System as it is better value to buy the drive separately. It is an OEM drive supplied without documentation or fittings in an anti-static bag inside a padded box but has a price to match.The drive was easy to fit as all the cables are supplied with the CCTV system. It formatted the first time and is currently logging my 5 cameras. It seems reasonably quiet and has stayed cool. The 2TB drive seems to be the sweet spot at the moment between capacity and price and is great value for my needs.

Bought to replace a factory installed 2Tb in a Swann NVR CCTV
As it says above...It adds a TON of record time to my CCTV system of 8 cameras, recording on PIR only so it does not waste space recording 24 hours. VERY much worth the money and it was very simple to replace the pre-installed HD. Just a matter of unscrewing the cover and then 4 screws holding the HD to the base of the case, then reversing the process to put the new HD in place.

Not “retail packaging”…
Turned up in a generic cardboard box, padded out with parcel labels!The disc was however sealed in an (unbranded) electronic packet.Once opened, it did all look new.Plugged in and all fired up fine, no issues.Just docking the one star for advertising as retail packaging when it was not.

IT WORKS
I have to say, this does work. But kind of sad, only having to own the same HDD, it died on me after few years, hence why the '2nd purchase of this'. I don't know if SEAGATE should be able to replace it for me?

Good upgrade
I got this to as an upgrade for my CCTV as the old 3tb one failed after 5 years. Fitted easy, plug and play really. Quieter than the old one too
