Good value .. Many features .. Resizing the band is a pain
This my opinion of the Casio Analog-Digital watch Model AW80 (2747) with a metal band. It packs a lot of features and feels very solid. Other reviewers have pointed out that parts of the case are resin, such as where the band attaches to the watch body. Also, the crystal is plastic and can be easily scratched. I don't wear a watch everyday, so those points are not negatives for me.The complexity of the features requires studying the tiny included printed instruction manual. Fortunately, a quick online search will result in a manual in PDF format that is easier to read. The first thing to do is set the time and date. It's important to note that the analog hands and the digital display must be set separately. Changing one does not change the other. Follow the procedure in the manual. Once they are properly set, the time on both analog and digital sections will stay in sync. The watch band needed to be resized for me. It was too large for my wrist. Again, I had to go to the web and search for instructions on how to resize it which involves removing links. This band is a 'Folded Link' type. I found several videos online with instructions.I have attached pictures that show the clip that must be removed (Letter A) before a link can be taken out. Two clips must be removed to take out one link. Insert a small screw driver into the hole at the bottom of the link and push the clip in the direction of the arrows. The clips on my band did not come out easily. I had to first spread the link opening apart (very slightly) before the clip would come out. After that, I had to fiddle with the links to separate them. Each link will subtract about 3/8 inch from the band. There is a small adjustment area (Letter B) if the fit needs to be fine tuned. Reassemble the links and insert the clips. I used a rubber mallet to fit them back in.At one point in this whole process I had to exert so much force that I thought I would surely bend or break something. It didn't and it ended up to be the proper size for me. Again, look online for complete instructions. This watch suits me and has more features than I will regularly use. It's a low cost watch that doesn't look low cost.

Small letters. Luminosity poor
Case is not that large. Fits small on large wrists. The background light is laughable. Not to bulky, seems its a perfect match for a unisex buyer.

I ended up liking it more than I thought I would.
I am completely in love with this watch despite it looking like a plastic watch even though that is what it is. The countdown timer is what I use the most. I really enjoy it because it has the hourly time and it’s nice to have a countdown timer on your wrist rather than using one on your phone constantly. The multiple alarms are great too because you can set alarms for all your breaks at work as well as went to clock out and went to clock out for lunch and what not. It’s a charming $30 watch that you shouldn’t be afraid to bang up as well. It’s also really fun to look at!

Lightweight and comfortable
Great watch at the right price. Fits cleanly on my wrist and is lightweight and comfortable. I like the analog/digital dial and the color goes with anything.

Good quality, but hard to read at night if you wear glasses or have vision problems.
The dimmest lighting I've seen on a clock, and the numbers are very small. If you were hoping to check the time when waking up in the middle of the night, I'm sorry to say it will be very difficult if you wear glasses. Product packaging, instruction manual, and clock condition are excellent—everything brand new with factory seals.

Only lasted five months.
I bought this to replace a higher end Casio that broke. After finding out that all of the Casio watches in this style have plastic cases where the band attached I decided not to bother with the expensive one. This one does the basics it has multiple time zones, a light and date. To start off with my only complaints about this watch were that it is very difficult to remove links from the band, and that the light is not very bright. The light works ok in a dark room, but it is not as easy to read as the EL backlight on the other Casio I had. For the money it seemed like a good deal. I missed the more elegant style and fancy features of my old watch, but this one did the job well enough. But only for 5 months. The first sign of trouble I had was that the analog hands were not staying set. Then the next day I noticed a lot of condensation inside the case. Then it just quit.I thought it might have been the battery, even though the watch was only five months old and was supposed to have a 10 year battery. Replacing the battery was a pin in the rear because the instructions that came with the watch did not have any information about how to change the battery. Casio's web site was also no help in this regard. Finally I figured out that there is a catch on the metal band that holds the battery in, you have to use a very thin jeweler's screwdriver to gently pry it loose. Even being careful I managed to bend it a bit so it took a littel work to get it back into the correct shape after removing the old battery. There is a sticker on the inside that mentions you must connect the "AC" terminal to the "-" after installing the new battery, which I did with a small piece of copper wire. After putting a new battery in it worked for about 2 minutes, just long enough to set the time again, then it died. I thought the new battery might have just been a dud, so I put it on a battery tester, and it tested OK. Now getting suspicious, I put the old battery on the tester, and it tested OK too. SO I gave up, pitched the watch in the trash and put the batteries on the shelf. That's the last Casio I'll buy.

Good Value
First this is a $40 watch. You're not getting a Swiss Timepiece. However, this is a great watch for the money. Its quirky to set but easy to figure out. I did not have to remove any links so I can't comment on how difficult that would be. The micro adjust pins were simple if you have the right tool. Overall I love the watch and would recommend it.
