Work well on 8mm
I have an 8.3mm rope. Works well on it. Used it a few times to ascend the rope. Noticed that name brand ascenders work much smoother though for allowing the rope to slide through on the bottom hand/slack rope hand below you.

Still alive which means the jumars are holding up. They work well haven't used them on icey ropes but it shouldn't be an issue.

Pretty decent ascenders here
These are okay ascenders. Not like cream of the crop but they get the job done and more importantly, sturdy and secure.

Very cheap and work well. I don’t feel I need to spend the extra money on a high end hand assender because I use a gri gri as my primary progress capture
